About StockTitan

We take official company news and SEC filings and explain them in plain words, while the market is still reacting

StockTitan publishes official company news on average in under 50 milliseconds after it goes out, and it turns SEC filings into something you can read within seconds of publication. It also watches every US-listed common stock for momentum, from 4:00 AM to 8:00 PM ET.

The archive behind those feeds holds over a million press releases and more than half a million SEC filings, every one of them scored. The site is independent, no company pays for placement and improvements ship most weeks. If you would like to know how each feed works, with the numbers we measured, that is all written up on the how the feeds work page.

We have been trading for years ourselves, so what you are looking at is the site we wanted to use, shaped by what users write to us. It should work just as well for someone who trades every day as it does for someone who bought their first stock last month.

Why We Built Stock Titan

Real-Time News, From the Source

Market-moving news is scattered over a lot of channels, from exchange notices to company websites, and most investors hear about an announcement second-hand, from a social post or an article written hours later, when the market has already reacted.

We built the Stock Titan news feed to close that gap. It receives official press releases directly from the source and publishes each one in a single live feed the moment it becomes public, with the AI processing, scoring and summarizing it within seconds. What you read is the announcement itself, the same text the company put out. We spend real engineering time on milliseconds, since in a fast market a few seconds of head start is worth a great deal.

SEC Filings, Made Readable

SEC filings are the most reliable information a public company produces, and they are also some of the hardest reading you will find. The facts that matter sit inside dense legal and accounting language, and they are spread over dozens of form types, so most people, quite reasonably, never read them at all.

Stock Titan receives filings straight from the SEC’s systems as they are published, and Rhea-AI, our analysis engine, reads each one and explains the key facts in simple words, so you can understand what a filing says even if you have never learned to read one. Summaries come in seven languages, and every filing page links to the original document on SEC EDGAR, so if you want to verify a fact you can go straight to the source.

Argus, the Market Filtered

Something is always moving. Thousands of US-listed stocks trade at once, and no one can watch them all at the same time.

Argus, our momentum scanner, is how we solved that for ourselves. It follows the market’s leading movers in pre-market, regular hours and after-hours, condensing what they are doing into a short feed of alerts on significant moves. When a stock that moved has recent news, the alert carries it, so you see what is moving, with the likely reason next to it, and you did not have to watch the whole market to get there. Some of what Argus does we could not find on any other platform, and the reason those features exist is that the active traders on the team wanted them for the patterns they watch most.

The Story So Far

2019

StockTitan began as a passion project, started by traders who wanted all of their real-time news in one place and could not find a service that did it well.

April 2020

The official launch of StockTitan, with the core news system and a first, fairly simple version of the AI sentiment analysis.

2021

The AI tools grew up, with expanded sentiment analysis and impact scoring, and the site reached hundreds of thousands of active users a month.

2023

We remade the whole site from scratch as a new version, with a new design, trading tools and personalization. The count of users served worldwide since launch passed 10 million that year (per Google Analytics).

2024

Argus launched, the AI got substantially better and a long list of new tools landed on the site.

2025

This was the year the real-time SEC filings feed and the personalized dashboard launched, and the count of users served worldwide since launch went past 50 million (per Google Analytics).

Today

StockTitan now serves around 4 million pageviews monthly (per Google Analytics). The set of tools and services on offer keeps growing, and on any given day we are improving one thing and researching another, with the queue reordered by market conditions and by what users ask for.

The People Behind Stock Titan

Made In-House

Stock Titan is designed, coded and run by a small independent group of software engineers, and the people writing the code also trade and invest with their own money. Between them they have spent decades on software architecture, machine learning, financial data processing, the markets themselves and the design of web applications, and the thing they have in common is a habit of research, so whatever is newest in the field tends to get pointed at a problem from the financial markets fairly soon after it appears.

There is no outsourced newsroom here and no licensed content feed dressed up as ours. Every system on this site, from the real-time news pipeline to the Rhea-AI scoring engine, the Argus momentum scanner and the financial calculators, was made in-house, and we still maintain each one day to day ourselves. If you wrote to us about a bug in one of them, your note would land with the people who coded it, and the reply would come from one of us.

Traders First

The people making this site are also its heaviest users.

Stock Titan stays open on every screen here in every market session, so when a feed lags, or a number is wrong, or a page is confusing, it bothers us long before it reaches you, and it tends to get fixed for that reason.

We have kept that habit daily since 2020, and it sets the bar for what we are willing to ship.

Shaped by the Community

A large share of what StockTitan is today started out as a suggestion from a user, sent in an email or posted on one of our channels. Notes like that come in every day, and we read them, since a user spending all day on the site sees things we would have missed, and if you write to us about something there is a fair chance it ends up on the roadmap.

No tool here was designed in isolation. We do the making in-house, consultants from the financial industry weigh in where their experience helps, and the most useful voice of all has been the community of active StockTitan users, telling us directly, and often, what they need next.

Accountability

StockTitan publishes as an organization, and you will not see personal bylines on these pages.

Accountability here rests on the Editorial Standards & AI Policy and on a standing corrections practice. Every news and filing page links to the original issuer press release or SEC filing, so you can verify the source directly, and if you ever doubted a line you could click through and check it yourself; when a page shows market data or original analysis, it says where the data came from or how the analysis was done.

The numbers below describe the scale of the operation, and they come straight out of the live database.

Is Stock Titan Reliable? Technology, AI Oversight and Human Review

AI Development & Oversight

Before a tool ships we spend time with it ourselves, and we hold it to the bar of being reliable, intuitive and useful enough that we would rest our own trading and investment decisions on it. If it is not there yet, it waits until it is.

The AI models behind scoring, tagging and analysis do not sit still once shipped. We come back to them on a regular cycle and give them another pass of tuning and improvement, the way you would service anything you rely on, and people with real market experience also read samples of the AI’s output by hand, so whatever they find goes into the next round of changes.

Active Maintenance

We keep the tools and the AI under constant supervision, and most days that means watching how they behave on live data from the opening bell to the close.

We push corrections often, and in some stretches weekly, since a small drift in accuracy is far cheaper to fix on the day it appears than after a month of sitting in the numbers. If you compared the site month to month you would keep finding small differences, and that is this work showing. When we get something wrong we say so and correct it, and the content standards we hold ourselves to are in our Editorial Policy.

Source Integrity

The news we publish comes exclusively from official, verifiable press releases and news issued directly by the companies themselves, over official channels and regulatory filings. If you saw a story here, the company behind it put that text out, and we received it and published it under an authorized arrangement.

Exclusion Policy

We leave out third-party analyst opinions, subjective interpretations, market rumors and unverified news sources, and we leave them out on purpose. Keeping the source list that narrow is most of how the accuracy stays where we want it, and it is a lot easier than cleaning up after bad sources.

No Paid Coverage

No company has ever paid us to publish, promote or prioritize its news. Our revenue comes from advertising and subscriptions, and none of it comes from the companies we cover. Biased and paid content gets filtered out before it reaches you, and that filtering is deliberate work, done every day.

Independent Platform

StockTitan operates independently. No brokerage, financial institution or sponsor has a stake in what we publish. The analysis is driven by the data alone, which is what keeps the information unbiased when you rest an investment decision on it.

Licensed Data

The market data here comes from official and licensed sources, and the practical meaning is that the numbers were authorized and accurate when they left the origin, and nothing we do changes them on the way to your screen.

Your Privacy

Every connection to StockTitan runs over industry-standard SSL/TLS encryption, you can use most of the site with no account at all, and our Privacy Policy spells out in plain language what we collect and what we do with it.

Rhea-AI: Our Analysis Engine

The engine behind StockTitan’s news analysis is Rhea-AI, our own financial analysis engine, built in-house. It processes every news article in real time, so by the time a story reaches you the summary and the scores are already there and you can decide in a few seconds how much attention it deserves. It also files each story under its stock symbol and applies the tags that make it easy to find again later, since the volume of news is more than any person could sort by hand.

Sentiment Analysis

Reads the tone of an article’s language and works out which way it leans. The score runs on a 1-5 scale, from very negative to very positive.

Impact Analysis

Estimates how much short-term price volatility a story could cause within a day. The score speaks to the size of the possible move and it does not say which way the price would go.

AI Summaries

Writes a short summary of each article, pulls out the key concepts and lays the positive and the negative takes out side by side, so you can weigh them at a glance.

Expert Insights

Financial professionals helped shape how the analyses are written, and their standards are the ones we hold the output to.

Rhea-AI keeps improving as market feedback and expert review come in. Anything the AI generated is labeled as AI-generated, and it carries the disclaimers you would expect.
