Rhea-AI Sentiment reads the wording of the document, how positive or negative its language is on a 1 to 5 scale. The balance of points shown with the takes weighs what the document actually discloses, so the two can disagree, for example when a trial that missed its main goal is described in upbeat language.

The Fund tracks an index focused on semiconductor design, chips, intellectual property, and software enablement

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Global X Management Company LLC (“Global X”), the New York-based provider of exchange-traded funds (ETFs), today announced the launch of the Global X Asia Semiconductor ETF (ticker ACHP).

ACHP (“the Fund”) seeks to invest in companies that are positioned to benefit from the growth and advancement of the Asian semiconductor ecosystem. This includes companies involved in semiconductor chip manufacturing as well as semiconductor design and related intellectual property and software enablement.

Although the semiconductor industry has expanded globally, Asia’s leadership in the space is undeniable. The Fund aims to track an index of up to 25 companies across Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, China, Hong Kong, and Southeast Asia that delivers access to the regional semiconductor ecosystem.

“We know that markets are cyclical, but innovation is persistent. That’s why we work so hard to spot powerful macro trends that can be transformed into tangible investment opportunities over the long run,” said Global X CEO Ryan O’Connor. “That’s the key to unlocking new frontiers of growth. And it’s why we have such high conviction in the semiconductor space.”

Global X has 17 ETFs designed to target companies involved in a broad category known as disruptive technologies, including those that invest in robotics, cybersecurity, and data centers. The firm’s largest disruptive technology fund – launched more than four years before the public release of ChatGPT – is the $10.56 billion Artificial Intelligence & Technology ETF (ticker AIQ), which aims to invest in the wider AI-driven ecosystem, as of October 12, 2026.

ACHP is part of a suite of ETFs recently launched by Global X that seek to provide investors with targeted exposure to specialized segments of the technology supply chain via a single, transparent ETF. The suite includes the Global X LLM ETF (ticker LLMA) that seeks to provide targeted exposure to companies involved in large language models, and the Global X MLCC & Electronic Components ETF (ticker MLCC), which is focused on the manufacturers of multi-layer ceramic capacitors (MLCCs) and related components.

ACHP is designed to capture both established leaders in semiconductor manufacturing as well as design innovators across Asian markets.

“The semiconductor industry is incredibly complex and capital intensive. Asia in particular is known for its dominance in global semiconductor manufacturing, earning it the nickname ‘the factory of chips,’” said Pedro Palandrani, Head of Product Research & Development at Global X. “Any disruptions in the region from geopolitical tensions to natural disasters can affect the production of a wide array of products elsewhere in the world.”

ACHP is a passively managed fund that seeks to track, before fees and expenses, the Global X Asia Semiconductor Index, designed to identify companies deriving significant revenue or a significant portion of their revenue from key segments of the semiconductor value chain.

There can be no guarantee active management strategies and processes will be successful.

International investments may involve risk of capital loss from unfavorable fluctuation in currency values, from differences in generally accepted accounting principles or from social, economic or political instability in other nations. Emerging markets involve heightened risks related to the same factors as well as increased volatility and lower trading volume.

ACHP and LLMA’s A-Share investments via the Stock Connect Programs are subject to trading, clearance and settlement procedures that are relatively untested in mainland China, daily purchase quotas that, once exceeded, may cause buy orders to be rejected, and the risk that securities may lose Stock Connect eligibility. Stock Connect is subject to further interpretation, and there is no assurance that it will continue or that changes in laws, regulations, policies or tax rules will not adversely affect investments or returns.

Investments in Chinese securities may subject ACHP and LLMA to legal, regulatory, political, currency, security, and economic risks specific to China, including economic, political and social instability; pervasive government control of, and intervention in, companies and industries; and trade tensions, tariffs, sanctions, cyber-related disputes and other geopolitical conflicts. Chinese companies, including those listed on U.S. exchanges, are subject to less stringent regulatory, accounting and auditor oversight requirements than companies in more developed countries, so information about them may be less reliable or complete, and shareholders may have limited legal remedies. Investments may be subject to loss due to expropriation or restrictions on foreign investment and repatriation of capital.

The U.S. Department of the Treasury's Outbound Investment Security Program and related laws such as the COINS Act restrict or require notification (or will when fully implemented) of certain U.S. person investments in entities linked to countries of concern (including China, Hong Kong and Macau) that are engaged in specified activities involving semiconductors, quantum technologies, certain artificial intelligence, high-performance computing and hypersonic systems. Some transactions, including certain transactions in publicly traded securities and certain derivatives, are excepted, subject to conditions. These rules are evolving and may expand to cover additional sectors, countries or transactions or narrow or eliminate existing exemptions, which could limit ACHP and LLMA’s ability to invest in certain companies, require divestment of existing holdings or notification to the U.S. Treasury, increase diligence and reporting costs, and adversely affect ACHP and LLMA’s performance, value or liquidity.

Newly listed companies may have limited trading history and less publicly available information about their operations and performance. Their prices may be highly volatile or decline shortly after listing, and direct listing or IPO shares are subject to heightened market and liquidity risk and may involve high transaction costs.

Swap agreements are contracts between the Fund and a counterparty to exchange the return of an underlying investment and may involve greater risks than direct investment in securities. Many swaps trade over the counter and may be illiquid, so the Fund may be unable to close a swap position at an advantageous time or price, which may result in significant losses. Swaps are also subject to counterparty credit, correlation, valuation, liquidity and leverage risks.

Shares of ETFs are bought and sold at market price (not NAV) and are not individually redeemed from the Fund. Brokerage commissions will reduce returns.
