Infor announces that Accor IMEA, a leader in augmented hospitality, is modernizing its accounting systems using Infor SunSystems on AWS. This change aims to enhance operational efficiency across over 400 hotels in India, Middle East, Africa, and Turkey. The move comes as the hospitality sector rebounds post-COVID, facilitating better financial management and remote work capabilities. Accor plans to have around 200 hotels operational on the SunSystems by the end of the year, marking a significant shift towards a SaaS model.
Accor has announced the development of Mexico's first Hyde hotel and residences in Mazatlán, set to break ground in late 2021 and open in late 2023. The project, in partnership with the Daniel Cárdenas Family, will feature a 75,277 square-foot property with 150 guest rooms, 50 residential units, five dining options, and various amenities. This move expands Accor's luxury lifestyle portfolio in Mexico, following the recent opening of SLS Cancun and upcoming Mondrian properties in Mexico City. The project aims to create 210 jobs and enhance Mazatlán as a premier travel destination.
Katara Hospitality, a prominent global hotel owner and operator based in Qatar, has partnered with Accor to introduce the Maison Delano brand. Scheduled to open in 2022, the first property, Maison Delano Paris, will feature 56 rooms and a new dining concept by renowned chef Dani Garcia. This collaboration aims to enhance operational strength and expand Katara's portfolio, which is set to increase from 42 to 60 hotels by 2030. The hotel will be situated in Paris' prestigious 8th Arrondissement, emphasizing luxury and superior service.
Accor and sbe have announced the opening of Mondrian Seoul Itaewon, the first Mondrian hotel in the Asia Pacific region. Developed in partnership with Yojin Construction & Engineering, this hotel is part of Mondrian's expansion plan, targeting approximately 15 properties by 2022. With 296 guestrooms, it offers unique dining experiences, including Cleo restaurant and Altitude pool bar. The hotel's design and offerings aim to create a vibrant lifestyle destination in Seoul's diverse Itaewon district.
