The balance of points shown with the takes weighs what the document actually discloses, so the two can disagree, for example when a trial that missed its main goal is described in upbeat language.

Key Terms

apr financial
Annual Percentage Rate (APR) is the yearly cost of borrowing money expressed as a percentage, combining interest and most fees into a single rate so borrowers can compare loans like comparing price tags. For investors, APR matters because it affects how much companies pay to raise capital, influences consumer demand for credit, and helps compare returns or costs across loans, bonds, and financial products — all of which can change profits and valuations.
compound interest financial
Compound interest is the process where interest earned is added to the original amount so future interest is calculated on the new, larger total—essentially “interest on interest.” It matters to investors because, like a snowball gaining size as it rolls, compound interest can dramatically boost long‑term returns or amplify the cost of debt, so small differences in rate or time horizon lead to large differences in final outcomes.
