ams OSRAM has launched the AS7331, a groundbreaking three-channel UV sensor that measures UV-A, UV-B, and UV-C radiation. This CMOS sensor is designed for cost-sensitive products and offers high sensitivity, capable of detecting weak signals necessary for applications like water quality monitoring. The AS7331 enables precise UV dosage control, enhancing performance and reducing costs in consumer devices. With its compact size and low power consumption, it’s ideal for devices such as robotic floor cleaners and air purifiers. Mass production is set to begin in Q1 2023.
