Altisource Announces Third Quarter 2026 Financial Results
Quarterly revenue growth and a narrower loss contrasted with lower nine-month operating income and cash below year-end levels.
Sentiment and the balance of points
Rhea-AI Sentiment reads the wording of the document, how positive or negative its language is on a 1 to 5 scale. The balance of points shown with the takes weighs what the document actually discloses, so the two can disagree, for example when a trial that missed its main goal is described in upbeat language.
Rhea-AI Summary
Altisource Portfolio Solutions (ASPS) reported third-quarter 2026 service revenue of $49.8 million, up 26% from the same quarter of 2025. Net loss attributable to Altisource narrowed to $1.4 million from $2.4 million, while diluted loss per share improved to $0.12 from $0.22. Adjusted EBITDA, a non-GAAP earnings measure excluding interest, taxes, depreciation, amortization and other adjustments, rose 17% to $4.3 million.
Quarterly operating cash flow increased to $3.5 million from $0.7 million. Cash ended September at $25.1 million, below $26.6 million at year-end 2025. Nine-month operating income fell 48% to $3.6 million, despite 18% service revenue growth. Revenue from customers outside Onity and Rithm grew 96% year over year and represented 72% of service revenue. The company targets $45 million in run-rate adjusted EBITDA by the fourth quarter of 2028 under Project 45.
How this balance works
Rhea-AI gives every point it takes from this document a weight. Minor counts 1, Moderate 3 and Major 9, so one Major point outweighs several Minor ones. The bar adds up the weights on each side, and when neither side holds more than 65% of the total the balance reads Mixed.
It reads the document as published, with the same rules for every company, and it does not look at what the market expected or at how the stock traded, so a point can be objectively good on a day the stock falls.
Rhea-AI Sentiment measures something else, the tone of the wording.

NON-GAAP MEASURES
(in thousands, except per share data)
(unaudited)
Adjusted operating income, pretax loss attributable to Altisource, adjusted pretax income attributable to Altisource, adjusted net income attributable to Altisource, adjusted diluted earnings per share, Net cash provided by (used in) operating activities less additions to premises and equipment, Adjusted EBITDA, Business Segments Adjusted EBITDA and net debt, which are presented elsewhere in this earnings release, are non-GAAP measures used by management, existing shareholders, potential shareholders and other users of our financial information to measure Altisource’s performance and do not purport to be alternatives to income from operations, loss before income taxes and non-controlling interests, net (loss) income attributable to Altisource, diluted (loss) earnings per share, Net cash provided by (used in) operating activities and long-term debt, including current portion, as measures of Altisource’s performance. We believe these measures are useful to management, existing shareholders, potential shareholders and other users of our financial information in evaluating operating profitability and cash flow generation more on the basis of continuing cost and cash flows as they exclude amortization expense related to acquisitions that occurred in prior periods and non-cash share-based compensation, as well as the effect of more significant non-operational items from earnings, cash flows from operating activities and long-term debt net of cash on-hand. We believe these measures are also useful in evaluating the effectiveness of our operations and underlying business trends in a manner that is consistent with management’s evaluation of business performance. Furthermore, we believe the exclusion of more significant non-operational items enables comparability to prior period performance and trend analysis. Specifically, management uses adjusted net income attributable to Altisource to measure the on-going after tax performance of the Company because the measure adjusts for the after tax impact of more significant non-recurring items, amortization expense relating to prior acquisitions (some of which fluctuates with revenue from certain customers and some of which is amortized on a straight-line basis) and non-cash share-based compensation expense which can fluctuate based on vesting schedules, grant date timing and the value attributable to awards. We believe adjusted net income attributable to Altisource is useful to existing shareholders, potential shareholders and other users of our financial information because it provides an after-tax measure of Altisource’s on-going performance that enables these users to perform trend analysis using comparable data. Management uses adjusted diluted earnings per share to further evaluate adjusted net income attributable to Altisource while taking into account changes in the number of diluted shares over the comparable periods. We believe adjusted diluted earnings per share is useful to existing shareholders, potential shareholders and other users of our financial information because it also enables these users to evaluate adjusted net income attributable to Altisource on a per share basis. Management uses Adjusted EBITDA to measure the Company’s overall performance and Business Segments Adjusted EBITDA to measure the segments overall performance (with the adjustments discussed earlier with regard to adjusted net income attributable to Altisource) without regard to its capitalization (debt vs. equity) or its income taxes and to perform trend analysis of the Company’s performance over time. Our effective income tax rate can vary based on the jurisdictional mix of our income. Additionally, as the Company’s capital expenditures have significantly declined over time, it provides a measure for management to evaluate the Company’s performance without regard to prior capital expenditures. Management also uses Adjusted EBITDA as one of the measures in determining bonus compensation for certain employees. We believe Adjusted EBITDA and Business Segments Adjusted EBITDA are useful to existing shareholders, potential shareholders and other users of our financial information for the same reasons that management finds the measure useful. Management uses net debt in evaluating the amount of debt the Company has that is in excess of cash and cash equivalents. We believe net debt is useful to existing shareholders, potential shareholders and other users of our financial information for the same reasons management finds the measure useful.
Altisource operates in several countries, including Luxembourg, India, the United States and Uruguay. The Company has differing effective tax rates in each country and these rates may change from year to year. In determining the tax effects related to the adjustments in calculating adjusted net (loss) income attributable to Altisource and adjusted diluted earnings per share, we use the tax rate in the country in which the adjustment applies or, if the adjustment is recognized in more than one country, we separate the adjustment by country, apply the relevant tax rate for each country to the applicable adjustment, and then sum the result to arrive at the total adjustment, net of tax. In 2019, the Company recognized a full valuation allowance on its net deferred tax assets in Luxembourg. Accordingly, for 2026 and 2025, the Company has an effective tax rate of close to
It is management’s intent to provide non-GAAP financial information to enhance the understanding of Altisource’s GAAP financial information, and it should be considered by the reader in addition to, but not instead of, the financial statements prepared in accordance with GAAP. Each non-GAAP financial measure is presented along with the corresponding GAAP measure so as not to imply that more emphasis should be placed on the non-GAAP measure. The non-GAAP financial information presented may be determined or calculated differently by other companies. The non-GAAP financial information should not be unduly relied upon.

FAQ
AI-generated questions and answers. How Rhea-AI works. Not financial advice.
What were Altisource's third-quarter 2026 revenue and earnings?
Altisource reported $49.8 million in service revenue and a $1.4 million net loss attributable to Altisource. Service revenue grew 26% year over year, while diluted loss per share narrowed to $0.12 from $0.22. Adjusted EBITDA increased 17% to $4.3 million.
What is Altisource's Project 45 target?
Altisource targets $45 million in run-rate adjusted EBITDA by the fourth quarter of 2028 under Project 45. The company identifies the continued ramp and seasoning of customer wins, greater operating leverage and disciplined cost management as the building blocks of that objective.
How is Altisource's potential sales pipeline split between its segments?
The estimated weighted pipeline includes $11.4 million to $14.2 million for Servicer and Real Estate and $16.4 million to $20.6 million for Origination. These figures represent potential estimated annual revenue on a stabilized basis, weighted by forecasted closing probabilities, rather than booked revenue.
Why does Altisource's nine-month 2025 profit affect the 2026 earnings comparison?
Nine-month 2025 net income attributable to Altisource included an $18.5 million income tax benefit with no comparable amount in nine-month 2026. That benefit reflected the reversal of a portion of reserves for uncertain India tax positions and related accrued interest.
