Avalanche Energy (AVNG) and TRIDEC signed an engagement letter to advance plans for a fusion-machine manufacturing facility in Washington’s Tri-Cities region. The letter outlines cooperation on site selection, permitting, infrastructure, supply chains and workforce development.
Avalanche expects the project to grow from prototype production into an integrated commercial operation producing hundreds of fusion machines annually. The facility is anticipated to create hundreds of long-term jobs and generate billions of dollars in annual economic output as production scales. It would operate near Avalanche’s FusionWERX research facility. TRIDEC plans to seek information from regional partners to evaluate potential sites. Avalanche says it is on track to demonstrate net fusion energy gain—more fusion energy produced than input—before 2030.
