The integration brings Innovis® Early View to the Blend platform, helping lenders avoid unnecessary tri-merge credit report costs.

PITTSBURGH--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Factual Data®, a leading provider of mortgage credit reports, workflow solutions and verification services, and Blend, a leading digital origination platform for banks, credit unions and mortgage lenders, today announced the availability of Innovis® Early View within Blend’s Home Lending suite. Lending teams now have the means to select the appropriate credit product at the point of application, rather than defaulting to a tri-merge credit report on every file — reflecting the companies' shared focus on affordability and credit modernization across the origination process.

Innovis Early View runs ahead of a tri-merge credit report, checking Innovis credit data against the lender's configured hard stops before a more costly merged report is ordered. If a disqualifying condition is present, the lender is notified; otherwise, the file continues through the lender’s existing workflow in Blend.

The integration reflects a broader shift in mortgage lending toward matching credit products to the file, rather than using one standardized report for every application. Innovis Early View does not replace the tri-merge credit report required for loans sold to the GSEs; it supports lenders in allocating resources to files more likely to move forward, helping keep origination costs down and supporting affordability for the consumers they serve.

“Lenders should not have to pay the price of a tri-merge credit report to learn a file cannot move forward. Putting Innovis Early View at the front of the Blend workflow lets lenders choose the right credit product for the moment they’re in. That’s real cost control, and it’s one more way we’re helping lenders expand homeownership,” said Reno D’Water, Chief Innovation Officer, Factual Data.

“Our customers are focused on originating more efficiently without compromising the applicant experience,” said Nima Ghamsari, Co-founder and Head of Blend. “Innovis Early View gives them a smarter first step in the credit process, with no other change to how they work today.”

tri-merge credit report financial
A tri-merge credit report combines the credit-file information from the three major nationwide credit bureaus (Experian, Equifax and TransUnion) into a single document that shows each bureau’s version of tradelines, public records and inquiries side-by-side. Lenders use it to compare differences across bureaus when assessing creditworthiness; it is a consolidated view of three bureau reports, not a single unified credit score or a guarantee that all data are identical across the three sources.
gses financial
GSEs (government‑sponsored enterprises) are privately chartered financial firms created by statute to support public policy goals—most commonly by buying, guaranteeing, or securitizing loans to increase liquidity in a specific market (for example, mortgages). They operate under a congressional charter and usually issue debt and mortgage-backed securities; they are distinct from federal agencies because they are privately owned and their obligations are not automatically backed by the full faith and credit of the government, though market participants often perceive some level of government support.
