BitGo Connects Institutional Self-Custody Wallets to Hyperliquid
BitGo now lets eligible institutional self-custody wallet clients trade on Hyperliquid via WalletConnect while keeping existing approval controls.
Following the required one-time activation, clients can place, modify, and close orders on Hyperliquid without providing a new BitGo wallet signature or making a separate onchain gas payment for each order. Hyperliquid trading and other applicable fees may still apply.
“Institutional traders should not have to build a new wallet stack every time they access onchain venue,” said Mike Belshe, CEO and Co-founder of BitGo. “We believe this connectivity gives clients a more efficient way to access Hyperliquid using their existing BitGo self custody wallets, while keeping their established controls over wallet access and fund transfers.”
Deposits and withdrawals that require a BitGo wallet transaction continue to follow the wallet’s configured approval policies, including any multi-user approval requirements. Once funds are available for trading on Hyperliquid, clients can manage orders and positions without returning to BitGo to sign each trading action.
The capability uses WalletConnect to establish a permissioned connection between the client’s BitGo wallet and Hyperliquid without exposing private keys.
This connectivity reflects BitGo’s broader vision to provide the infrastructure institutions need to operate across the digital asset economy. By connecting established wallet controls with a growing range of networks and onchain applications, BitGo is helping clients access digital asset markets through a unified infrastructure platform.
The capability is available now to eligible existing BitGo self custody hot wallet clients. It is not available to clients in
