(CSA) supported Jericho High School students in publishing 'Reconnecting: An Art Within Itself,' a book based on the theme of reconnecting, as part of the Future Authors Project. The program provides students with an inside look into the writing process, including idea conception, drafting, editing, and publication. Canon imaging equipment was used to capture photographs to accompany the students' written work. Parents and district staff attended the book launch, where students and teachers signed copies. Christine Sedlacek, senior director and general manager of Canon U.S.A., Inc.'s corporate communications division, congratulated the students. The four-day workshop helped students sharpen their writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with Canon providing a camera tutorial and product presentation. The program received positive feedback from students and teachers, with Canon's support providing special experiences for all participants.

Canon Solutions America-sponsored FIRST Robotics Team #3932 Dirty Mechanics will mark its 12th year in operation this fall. The team comprises students from a dozen schools within the South Florida region who work as one team to compete in the FIRST Robotics Competition. Volunteer mentors, such as Canon Solutions America Principal Engineer, Dave Ferguson, work tirelessly to give back to their community by offering technical guidance regarding running a robotics team, developing soft skills, increasing self-confidence, and improving communications and leadership capabilities.
