Key Terms

cgmp regulatory
cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practice) are government-enforced quality standards that manufacturers must follow to ensure drugs, medical devices, and related products are made consistently, safely, and meet specified quality tests. For investors, cGMP compliance is like a restaurant passing health inspections: it reduces the risk of product recalls, regulatory fines, or production stoppages that can hurt revenue and company value, and it supports market access and long-term trust.
cryopreservation medical
Cryopreservation is the process of freezing biological materials—such as cells, tissues, blood, vaccines or embryos—at very low temperatures to halt chemical activity and preserve them for future use. For investors, it matters because reliable freezing affects a biotech or healthcare company’s ability to store and transport products, preserve research assets, extend shelf life, meet regulatory requirements, and scale manufacturing; failures can cause product loss, costly delays, or regulatory risks much like a spoiled freezer full of perishable goods.
