Insights

New time charter boosts short-term revenue and raises daily rate versus prior employment.

The company secured a time charter for the m/v Santa Barbara at a gross rate of $25,500 per day, less a 5.00% commission, with employment from Nov 29, 2025 through at least Mar 1, 2027 and no later than Apr 30, 2027. The press release states the vessel was previously earning a gross $22,000 per day (less the same commission), so the new contract increases the vessel's daily cash revenue. The company also quantifies the minimum-schedule gross revenue from this charter at about $11.48 million, providing a clear near-term cash flow lift tied to this asset.

Key dependencies and risks include the stated minimum/maximum charter duration and commission structure; revenue impact scales directly with the actual earliest and latest redelivery dates within the announced window. Fleet statistics provided (36 vessels, ~4.1 million dwt combined capacity, weighted average age 11.96 years) contextualize the size of this single-vessel contract relative to the fleet. Watch the charter start on Nov 29, 2025 and final redelivery timing through Apr 30, 2027 to confirm realized days and revenue; any early termination or extension will change the realized outcome.
