Key Terms

artificial intelligence technical
Artificial intelligence is the ability of computers and machines to perform tasks that typically require human thinking, such as understanding language, recognizing patterns, or making decisions. For investors, it matters because AI can enhance efficiency, uncover new insights, and enable smarter strategies, potentially impacting the value and performance of companies that develop or utilize this technology.
neuroradiologist medical
A neuroradiologist is a medical specialist who reads and interprets images of the brain, spinal cord and nearby nerves using scans such as MRI and CT, and advises on diagnosis and treatment. For investors, their role matters because their interpretations and demand for advanced imaging drive sales and adoption of imaging equipment, influence the pace and success of clinical trials for neurological drugs or devices, and affect hospital service revenue—similar to how a forensic photo analyst guides decisions based on visual evidence.
clinical informatics medical
Clinical informatics organizes and analyzes medical and patient data using software, databases and tools so clinicians can make faster, safer decisions—think of it as a traffic-control system and smart filing cabinet for healthcare information. Investors care because these systems drive adoption of digital tools, reduce errors and costs, help providers meet regulatory requirements, and create recurring revenue opportunities for companies that sell or host the technology.
regulatory readiness regulatory
Regulatory readiness is how prepared a company, product or project is to meet the laws, approvals and inspections required by government agencies. Investors care because greater readiness lowers the chance of costly delays, rework or fines and makes timing and costs more predictable—like having all travel documents and bags packed correctly before a flight, which cuts the risk of being held up at the airport.
