distressed m&a financial
"restructurings, insolvencies and distressed M&A transactions across a range of industries"
Distressed M&A is the buying, selling, or restructuring of companies or their assets when the target is under severe financial stress, facing bankruptcy, or unable to meet obligations. It matters to investors because these deals can change who controls valuable assets, shift expected recoveries for creditors and shareholders, and create sudden value opportunities or losses—like buying a fixer-upper at auction where the outcome depends on how well the buyer can repair it.
capital structure financial
"provide capital structure analysis and advise debtors and creditors"
Capital structure is the way a company finances its operations and growth by using different sources of money, such as borrowed funds (loans or bonds) and owner’s equity (investments from owners or shareholders). It’s like a recipe for baking a cake, where the balance of ingredients affects the final product's strength and taste; similarly, the mix of debt and equity influences a company's stability and risk. For investors, understanding a company's capital structure helps gauge how risky it might be to invest or lend money.

liability management transactions financial
"restructurings, liability management transactions and distressed M&A"
Liability management transactions are moves a company makes to change the shape or cost of its debts—for example buying back bonds, swapping old loans for new ones with different terms, or extending repayment dates. Think of it like rearranging or refinancing a mortgage to secure a lower monthly payment or delay a big due date; these actions can reduce interest costs, ease short‑term cash pressure or change credit risk, so investors watch them for effects on future cash flow, default risk, and potential dilution if debt is converted into shares.
