XFUNDS launched the Fitz-Gerald Must Have Portfolio® and Options Overlay ETF FIZY (NYSE Arca) as an actively managed fund combining Keith Fitz-Gerald’s proprietary 5Ds thematic equity framework with an options overlay. The strategy concentrates on roughly 15–30 “must have” companies with strong leadership and dominant market positions.
FIZY seeks to generate potential weekly cash distributions by selling options on portfolio holdings using covered calls, cash-secured puts, and credit spreads, while also holding cash or short-term U.S. Treasuries as collateral. According to XFUNDS, investors face derivatives, counterparty, equity-market, thematic-concentration, and distribution risks, and principal loss is possible.
