Sentiment and the balance of points

Rhea-AI Sentiment reads the wording of the document, how positive or negative its language is on a 1 to 5 scale. The balance of points shown with the takes weighs what the document actually discloses, so the two can disagree, for example when a trial that missed its main goal is described in upbeat language.

FingerMotion (FNGR) has initiated discussions with prospective capacity customers for Brooks Campus #1, a 9.9 MW site in Newell County, Alberta. Through its relationship with BlueFlare Energy Solutions, it offers powered land or colocation, where clients use data-hall space developed by BlueFlare. Clients would own and supply their computing hardware.

FingerMotion expects powered land availability in early first quarter 2027. The site is the first in its previously announced 99 MW program, comprising ten 9.9 MW sites across four Alberta areas. Permitting continues across the program. FingerMotion aims to secure long-term capacity contracts before committing construction capital to individual sites; customer discussions have not yet produced a definitive agreement.

How this balance works

Rhea-AI gives every point it takes from this document a weight. Minor counts 1, Moderate 3 and Major 9, so one Major point outweighs several Minor ones. The bar adds up the weights on each side, and when neither side holds more than 65% of the total the balance reads Mixed.

It reads the document as published, with the same rules for every company, and it does not look at what the market expected or at how the stock traded, so a point can be objectively good on a day the stock falls.

Rhea-AI Sentiment measures something else, the tone of the wording.

3 terms
offtake financial
"discussions with prospective offtake clients regarding capacity"
An offtake is a contract where a buyer commits in advance to purchase a company’s future output—such as raw materials, energy or finished goods—often at agreed volumes and prices. For investors, an offtake provides predictable revenue and lowers the risk that production will go unsold, similar to a long-term subscription or pre-order that helps a factory or mine secure funding and plan operations with greater confidence.
behind-the-meter technical
"a 9.9 megawatt behind-the-meter site"
Equipment or systems located on a customer’s side of the electricity meter—such as rooftop solar panels, battery storage, electric vehicle chargers, or energy controls—that generate, store, or manage power for use on-site rather than being supplied through the utility’s grid. Investors care because behind-the-meter assets change how much power a customer buys, can create new revenue or savings streams, affect demand patterns, and shift regulatory or business models in the energy market, much like a homeowner installing their own water tank reduces municipal supply needs.
colocation technical
"capacity under either of two structures: powered land or colocation"
Colocation is the practice of placing a trader’s computer servers inside or next to an exchange’s data center so their orders travel the shortest possible distance to the exchange’s computers. For investors this matters because even tiny gains in speed can mean better trade prices or reduced slippage—like being first in line at a checkout—so firms that colocate can gain steady, measurable advantages or incur extra costs that affect returns.

Powered land expected to be available in early first quarter 2027; Company continues to advance permitting for its previously announced 99 MW program and is accepting expressions of interest

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla., Oct. 08, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- FingerMotion, Inc. (Nasdaq: FNGR) (the “Company”) today announced that it has initiated discussions with prospective offtake clients regarding capacity at Brooks Campus #1, a 9.9 megawatt behind-the-meter site in the County of Newell, Alberta. Through its relationship with BlueFlare Energy Solutions Inc. (“BlueFlare”), the Company is prepared to contract capacity under either of two structures: powered land or colocation. The discussions are progressing; however, there can be no assurance that any definitive agreement will be entered into, or as to the terms of any such agreement.

Commercial Structures

Under either structure, the client would supply and own its compute hardware. Neither the Company nor BlueFlare would supply, lease or resell graphics processing units or other information-technology equipment.

  • Powered land. A client that provides its own modular data halls would contract for a prepared, behind-the-meter site, including generation, power distribution, site access, security and the supporting infrastructure required to deliver, commission and energize the client’s halls. Powered land at Brooks Campus #1 is expected to be available in early first quarter 2027.
  • Colocation. A client that does not elect to provide its own halls would contract for power, cooling and white space in data-hall capacity developed by BlueFlare, sized to the client’s requirements within the site’s permitted envelope.

Brooks Campus #1

Brooks Campus #1 is located approximately 3.6 kilometers northeast of the Hamlet of Tilley. Generation is planned adjacent to existing natural gas infrastructure, which the Company expects will allow the site to be developed without a new grid interconnection and the associated transmission queue. Consistent with the Company’s approach to its Alberta program, the campus is designed as a small-scale facility intended to be compatible with its host community. BlueFlare has indicated that it intends to prioritize local hiring in connection with construction and operations.

99 MW Program

Brooks Campus #1 is the first site in the Company’s previously announced 99 megawatt behind-the-meter power and compute program. The program comprises ten 9.9 megawatt generation and data-hall sites, grouped into campuses in the Brooks, Coronation, Fox Creek and Vulcan areas of Alberta. The Company continues to advance permitting across the program. Each campus is intended to be powered and configured for its offtake client, with permitting, energization and design aligned to that client’s delivery schedule. The Company is accepting expressions of interest for capacity across the program, including Brooks Campus #1. The Company’s stated objective is to contract capacity on long-term terms before committing construction capital to an individual site.

“Power availability and time to energization have become material constraints on new compute capacity,” said Jolie Kahn, Chief Executive Officer of FingerMotion. “Brooks Campus #1 is intended to provide a near-term path to behind-the-meter capacity, with a choice between powered land and colocation. We expect to commit construction capital to an individual site only after contracting capacity on long-term terms.”

“Operators are seeking behind-the-meter power against a defined schedule,” said Landon Ruszkowski, Chief Executive Officer of BlueFlare. “Brooks Campus #1 is the template for the balance of the program, and the commercial work undertaken at this site is intended to inform the sites that follow and the communities we serve.”

The Company expects to provide further updates as appropriate. Parties interested in submitting an expression of interest may contact sales@goblueflare.com.
