Galloper Gold Commences Diamond Drilling at Glover Island
Galloper Gold has launched a 7,000 m, 30‑hole drill program at Glover Island to test and expand known gold zones.
Rhea-AI Summary
Galloper Gold (GGDCF) has started diamond drilling at its flagship Glover Island gold project in Newfoundland as part of its 2026 exploration program.
The plan calls for approximately 7,000 metres of NQ diamond drilling in 30 holes, following an integrated review of historical drilling, trenching, surface geochemistry, mapping and geophysics. Initial drilling will target smaller showings, beginning with the Kettle Pond South Zone, where historical work reported 2.53 g/t over 21.3 m, and later the Lunch Pond C anomaly, which returned 54.6 g/t over 1.22 m. Subsequent work will refocus on expanding the Lunch Pond South Extension resource along strike and at depth.

Vancouver, British Columbia--(Newsfile Corp. - September 8, 2026) - Galloper Gold Corp. (CSE: BOOM) (OTC Pink: GGDCF) (the "Company" or "Galloper") is pleased to announce that diamond drilling has commenced at its flagship Glover Island property marking the start of the Company's 2026 exploration drilling program.
The planned program comprises approximately 7,000 meters of NQ diamond drilling across 30 holes and follows a comprehensive integrated technical review of historical drilling, trenching, surface geochemistry, geological mapping and historical geophysical surveys.
The programs are designed to test the continuity and orientation of known mineralised structures with initial programs targeting smaller showings and continuing to the main resource.
The initial program is intended to expand the known mineralised showings and previously poorly understood drilled targets. The first target is the Kettle Pond South Zone, located near the Galloper Camp and with intercepts including 2.53 g/t over 21.3m drilled by Newfoundland Goldbar Resources Inc. in the 1990s. This zone has been tested at shallow depths and shows continuity over approximately 300m. This program is designed to test continuity of mineralization at depth.
This program is to be followed up with the drilling of the KPS-1 hole which intersected significant mineralization, but the core was lost and never assayed. Follow-up holes may be drilled depending on the quality and quantity of intersected mineralization.
A further program is planned to be drilled on the Lunch Pond C anomaly where 54.6 g/t over 1.22m was reported.
Following these small programs the primary focus of expanding the Lunch Pond South Extension will resume, growing the resource along strike and at depth.
This program will allow the Company to have several geological resources to follow up on with a pipeline of targets developed, which will lay the foundation for further development of targets across the Company's land holdings on the island. Drilling is now underway on the first hole of the exploration program.
Hratch Jabrayan, President and CEO of Galloper commented, "This is an extremely important step for Galloper Gold. Over the past several months, along with the rehabilitation of the Kettle Pond camp, our team has brought together the historical drilling, recent surface work, geochemistry, geology and new high-resolution geophysics into a much clearer understanding of the structural framework. This marks the first major drill program in Galloper history, and we look forward to updating the market as the program progresses."

FAQ
What are the main objectives of Galloper Gold's 2026 drilling program at Glover Island?
The program is designed to test the continuity and orientation of known mineralized structures, expand known mineralized showings and previously poorly understood drilled targets, and then resume the primary focus of expanding the Lunch Pond South Extension resource along strike and at depth. The company said this work is intended to build a pipeline of geological targets across its Glover Island land holdings.
Which specific targets are being drilled first in the Glover Island program?
The first target is the Kettle Pond South Zone near the Galloper camp, which has been tested at shallow depths and shows continuity over about 300 m. Drilling there is aimed at testing mineralization at depth and following up the KPS-1 hole, where significant mineralization was intersected but core was lost and never assayed. A further program is planned on the Lunch Pond C anomaly before the focus returns to the Lunch Pond South Extension.
How large is Galloper Gold's Glover Island property and what does it comprise?
The Glover Island exploration project comprises 466 mining claims on 13 mineral licences, covering 117.21 square kilometres (11,721 hectares) in central Newfoundland. Historic exploration efforts on the property produced the LPSE 2026 Gold Resource, which is wholly controlled by Galloper Gold.
Who is responsible for reviewing the technical information in this announcement?
