4 terms
memorandum of cooperation regulatory
"today announced the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation with the National"
A memorandum of cooperation is a written agreement where two or more parties outline how they will work together, what each will contribute, and the basic timeline or goals. Think of it as a formal handshake that maps responsibilities and intentions without usually creating strict legal obligations; for investors it signals that companies are aligning resources or strategy, which can indicate future cost savings, new markets, or reduced execution risk, but it is not a guaranteed outcome.
nasdaq-listed shares financial
"mechanisms through which Kyivstar’s existing Nasdaq-listed shares could be made"
Shares listed on the Nasdaq are ownership stakes in a company that are officially quoted and traded on the Nasdaq stock market, an organized electronic exchange. For investors this matters because listing gives the shares a visible, regulated marketplace where they are easier to buy and sell, subject to exchange rules and reporting standards, and more likely to be followed by analysts and index funds—think of it like a shop having a prominent location on a busy main street.
brokerage channels financial
"accessible to investors in Ukraine through established brokerage channels."
Brokerage channels are the different ways investors place trades and access market services through brokers, such as mobile apps, phone-based advisors, institutional trading desks or direct electronic platforms. They matter because the channel affects costs, speed, level of advice and access to special services—like choosing between a self-checkout, a full-service shop, or express delivery when buying the same product—and those differences can influence investment returns and risk.
u.s. federal securities laws regulatory
"compliance with Ukrainian legislation and U.S. federal securities laws."
A set of federal laws that govern the offer, sale and trading of stocks, bonds and other investments in the United States, requiring companies to provide truthful, timely information and banning fraud and insider trading. For investors, these rules act like traffic laws for markets: they aim to keep trading fair and transparent, reduce the risk of deception, and provide legal remedies when companies or individuals break the rules.
