Lightning Resource (LTCOF) reported surface gold assays up to 18.12 grams per tonne from its ongoing Savant Gold Project exploration program in Northwestern Ontario. That result came from a 0.30-metre outcrop channel sample at Big Sandy, where a grab sample returned 17.60 grams per tonne. Results received for 56 rock grab samples and 42 outcrop chip channel samples ranged from trace to 18.12 grams per tonne.
Sampling also identified gold at Wiggle Creek and Stillar Bay. The company said newly identified, previously undrilled surface occurrences warrant initial drilling this winter. The summer program began in early June and is expected to continue through early October. Results from 236 of 316 collected humus samples are guiding prospecting and mapping. Eight new contiguous claims were staked near Hackett Lake, south of Stillar Bay, with exploration planned for that area.
