Key Terms

P18-49 technical
P18-49 denotes the group of people aged 18 to 49 and is used as a key audience demographic in media and marketing reports. Investors watch this metric because companies that attract higher engagement from this age band typically command stronger advertising demand and pricing—think of it like a store tracking shoppers in its most valuable age group to set rents and promotion budgets. Changes in P18-49 can signal shifts in revenue potential for media and consumer-facing businesses.
prime time technical
Prime time is the block of hours when the largest number of people are expected to watch broadcast or streaming content, typically in the evening; think of it as a store’s busiest shopping hour. It matters to investors because audience size during prime time determines advertising rates, subscription value and content pricing, so stronger performance in that window can directly boost a media company’s revenue and profit potential.
daypart technical
A daypart is a named segment of the broadcast or streaming day—such as morning drive, daytime, evening or prime time—used by media companies and advertisers to organize programming and sell advertising. Like peak and off-peak times at a store, different dayparts attract different audience sizes and types, so they command different ad rates and revenue potential; investors watch daypart performance to gauge a broadcaster’s pricing power, audience trends and advertising income.

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- MediaCo Holding Inc. (Nasdaq: MDIA) today announced that EstrellaTV, its leading Spanish-language, multi-platform network, delivered another standout quarter - posting a +38% year-over-year increase in P18-49 prime time in Q1 2026. This marks the fourth consecutive quarter of audience growth, reinforcing EstrellaTV’s accelerating momentum and competitive strength.

Fastest-Growing Network in Spanish-Language Broadcast
Season-to-date, EstrellaTV is the fastest-growing Spanish-language broadcast network in the U.S., with P18-49 prime time up +47% (Mon–Sun). The network continues to significantly outpace the category, outperforming Telemundo (+5%), Univision (-14%), and UniMás (-34%).

Sustained, Consistent Growth
EstrellaTV’s growth is not episodic - it’s consistent. The network has delivered year-over-year gains in 12 of the last 16 months. In March 2026, EstrellaTV was the only Spanish-language broadcast network to post growth, increasing +22% versus the prior year.

Strength Across Every Daypart
In Q1, EstrellaTV exceeded prior-year P18-49 delivery across every daypart - Prime, Early Fringe, Afternoon, and Total Day, highlighting the strength and balance of its programming strategy. Through 27 weeks this season, weekday 6 p.m.-11 p.m. performance has outpaced prior-year levels 23 times, delivering reliable, scalable audiences for advertisers.

News Programming Driving Engagement
EstrellaTV’s news lineup continues to be a key driver of growth:

  • Noticiero Cierre de Edición ranked as the top weekday program in March, averaging 38,500 viewers (+8% vs. season-to-date average)
  • 24 Horas Late followed with 29,900 viewers (+14% vs. season-to-date average)

“EstrellaTV’s growth isn’t just momentum, it’s translating directly into revenue and market share gains,” said Brian Fisher, Chief Revenue Officer, MediaCo. “We’re delivering consistent, scalable access to a high value audience that advertisers are struggling to reach elsewhere. As brands rethink how they connect with modern America, EstrellaTV is becoming a core part of the plan across linear, streaming, and digital.”
