NioCorp's Mark A. Smith will now appear on "Mornings With Maria" at 7:30 AM Eastern on September 25th

CENTENNIAL, CO / ACCESS Newswire / September 21, 2025 / Mark A. Smith, Chairman and CEO of NioCorp Developments Ltd. ("NioCorp" or the "Company") (NASDAQ:NB) will now appear on Maria Bartiromo's "Mornings with Maria" program on Fox Business News at a new time this coming week: 7:30 AM Eastern on Thursday, September 25, 2025. Mr. Smith was previously scheduled to appear on Monday, September 22.

Mr. Smith is leading the effort to develop the Elk Creek Critical Minerals Project in Nebraska (the "Elk Creek Project"), the nation's only critical minerals project containing niobium, scandium, titanium, and rare earths and which is fully permitted to start construction, has completed Feasibility Study-level metallurgy for its planned products, and has established a Mineral Resource supported by a Regulation S-K 1300-compliant Technical Report Summary.[[i]]

Niobium is coming increasingly in focus given the U.S.'s 100% reliance on imports of the critical mineral and its extensive uses in advanced steels, aerospace and hypersonic missile systems, virtually all naval defense vessels, and many other major defense applications A small addition of niobium doubles steel yield strength, making it indispensable for pipelines, bridges, turbines, autos/trucks/trains, fighter jets, naval ships/subs, and space delivery systems.

Only three niobium mines operate worldwide - two in Brazil and one in Canada. Brazil's mines meet >90% of global demand. However, China exerts significant influence over global niobium supply chains through ownership of Brazil's Catalão niobium mine by a Chinese state-controlled entity (China Molybdenum) and a Chinese consortium's ownership of 15% of Brazil's Araxa mine, which itself accounts for greater than 80% of global niobium production.

"Mornings with Maria" is the number one pre-market business news program on cable. Ms. Bartiromo also anchors Sunday Morning Futures (10 AM/ET) on FOX News Channel (FNC),which routinely ranks as the highest-rated show on Sundays in cable news. In April 2017, Bartiromo was also named the anchor for FBN's weekly primetime investing program, Maria Bartiromo's Wall Street (Fridays, 7 PM/ET).
