Daigas Gas and Power Solution Co., Ltd. have partnered with Hyundai Rotem Company to expand onsite hydrogen generator technology. This collaboration allows Hyundai Rotem to sell the HYSERVE hydrogen generators globally, enhancing the hydrogen supply infrastructure crucial for decarbonization in transportation. The HYSERVE-300 generator, launched by Daigas in 2003, has an hourly production capacity of 300 Nm³. With increasing global demand for hydrogen, the expansion aims to facilitate the growth of hydrogen fueling stations for various applications.
Daigas Gas and Power Solution Co., Ltd. (DGPS), a subsidiary of Osaka Gas Co., has been awarded Front End Engineering & Design (FEED) and technical consulting services for the Phase-4 Expansion Project of the Taichung LNG Receiving Terminal in Taiwan. This project aims to enhance LNG storage and handling capacity to 13 million tons annually by 2029, aligning with Taiwan's goal to increase natural gas use in energy generation to 50% by 2025. DGPS's experienced background in LNG operations was pivotal in securing this contract.
Osaka Gas and its subsidiary Osaka Gas Singapore have partnered with City Energy Pte. Ltd. and City-OG Gas Energy Services to conduct a feasibility study for a methanation project in Singapore. This project aims to produce synthetic methane using carbon dioxide and low carbon hydrogen. The study, aligned with Osaka Gas's Carbon Neutral Vision targeting 2050, will last approximately six months, evaluating suitable locations and transportation methods for the raw materials.
Osaka Gas Co., Ltd. has entered the City Gas Distribution (CGD) sector in India through its subsidiary, Osaka Gas Singapore Pte., Ltd. The company invested in AG&P CGD HoldCo SPV3 alongside the Japan Overseas Infrastructure Investment Corporation. This initiative aims to enhance natural gas infrastructure in 12 regions across South India and Rajasthan, promoting compressed natural gas vehicles. Osaka Gas seeks to expand its operations significantly, targeting a gas sales volume of 3.5 billion m³, half of its current Japanese sales.
