DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Palantir Technologies Inc. (NYSE: PLTR) today unveiled a new suite of products available within Palantir Apollo, the operating system for autonomous software deployment across environments. The company will present these products at its Apollo Demo Day later today at 11:00am ET.

To date, Apollo has managed the deployment, security, and upgrades for Palantir’s software — including 500+ independently-released microservices across 300+ unique environments.

Apollo absorbs the complexities of underlying infrastructure, such as Kubernetes, so engineering teams can focus on shipping new features faster. Apollo provides a collaborative environment for everyone in the software deployment and management lifecycle: from developers, to operators, to DevOps and Platform Engineering teams, to security, quality, and compliance professionals.

“Apollo is built to address the intrinsic problems that come with distributed systems,” says Greg DeArment, Chief Architect and Head of Apollo Platform. “It enables software engineering teams to encode the preconditions and the expectations of their software next to the code itself, and enables non-linear rollout processes across complex deployment targets.”

Today’s release of new capabilities within Apollo enables software companies and in-house engineering teams to adopt any combination of Apollo’s full-stack autonomous deployment functionality:

Scalable, autonomous deployment to virtually any environment:

  • Autonomous Deployment: intelligent change orchestration that enables engineering teams to specify operational constraints so that Apollo can autonomously manage advanced upgrades, safe rollbacks, and more
  • Cloud Portability: abstraction of service interactions from cloud providers, enabling organizations to maintain flexibility across cloud providers
  • Air-Gapped Environment Management: deployment of Apollo hubs within individual network boundaries, enabling engineering teams to continuously deploy and manage software in air-gapped environments, peer into it from the central Apollo hub, and intelligently bundle / send only what is needed across network boundaries

Operating system for managing software in production:

  • Software Catalog: centralized resource that enables engineering teams to track all production software, versions, and dependencies in a unified way
  • Control Center: single pane of glass for enterprise software that enables engineering, operations, security teams, and others to interact with all instances of deployed software — from understanding what is running where and whether it is healthy, to remediating issues, to specifying environment constraints and more
  • Observability & Monitoring: tooling that enables engineering teams to define SLOs as code, declare how their software should be adjudicated across environments alongside the software artifacts themselves, and connect out-of-the-box to any third-party metrics and / or logging providers
  • Extensibility: SDK that enables developers to leverage advanced Kubernetes features without needing to understand the complexities of Kubernetes itself, and a set of developer APIs / extension points that enable organizations to add unique functionality, such as additional pre-release approval requirements

Built-in governance, security, and compliance:

  • Governance & Compliance: enhanced configurability, including context-aware change management, for approval processes that enable engineering teams to granularly apply internal best practices and external regulatory requirements down to a specific instance of a microservice in an environment, package dependencies, and even to individual lines of code
  • Software Supply Chain & Security: tooling to build and manage software Bills of Materials, enabling engineering teams to continuously scan software and artifacts from the Software Catalog and Control Center, encode security policies, and more
