ALLENTOWN, Pa., Feb. 19, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- PPL Corporation employees and retirees, together with matching contributions from PPL's affiliated foundations, pledged nearly $9 million during PPL's annual employee-led charitable giving campaign. These contributions, in partnership with United Way, will support nearly 500 local nonprofit organizations throughout Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Kentucky and Virginia.

The amount raised, which set a record for PPL's employee campaigns, was generated through the company's United Way campaign in Pennsylvania and Rhode Island and the Power of One campaign in Kentucky. The campaign supports organizations in areas where employees live and work and communities served by PPL and its subsidiaries. The funds will support ongoing efforts to address the increasing needs of thousands of people who rely on United Way agencies and nonprofit organizations for vital services every day. As part of the campaign, PPL employees from across the company designated $50,000 to the American Red Cross Hurricane Relief Fund. The PPL Foundation's matching donation will bring the total contribution to the hurricane relief fund to $100,000.
