Women in Trucking recognition
marks eight consecutive years among companies recognized for supporting women in transportation and supply chain roles - Honor highlights Ryder's continued efforts to attract, develop, and support women throughout its workforce

For the eighth consecutive year, Women In Trucking recognizes Ryder for its commitment to the employment and advancement of women in the transportation industry.
“Ryder is to be commended for earning recognition as a 2026 Top Company for Women to Work in Trucking by Redefining the Road, the official magazine for the Women in Trucking Association,” says Brian Everett, group publisher and editorial director. “Organizations recognized on this impressive list have proven they are supportive of gender inclusion by accommodating family and work balance; offering competitive compensation, benefits, and professional growth; and providing career advancement opportunities.”
Companies are nominated and evaluated through a multi-step process that includes a review of workplace attributes women in the industry identify as most important in an employer, followed by an industry vote that serves as a heavily weighted component of the final selection process. Criteria include:
- A culture that fosters respect, support, and opportunity for women and all employees
- Flexible hours that accommodate family and life balance
- Competitive pay and benefits
- Ongoing professional development
- Leadership training, mentorship, and career advancement opportunities
“We are proud to once again earn a spot on this coveted list as our culture is grounded in respect, accountability, and leadership that supports employees to grow, contribute, and advance,” says Lesley Kerr, vice president of human resources at Ryder and WIT board member. “Through mentorship, employee forums, and leadership skills training, we’re helping women build rewarding careers in transportation and supply chain management across the business, whether that’s behind the wheel, in operations, or in senior leadership.”
Earlier this year, WIT named two Ryder leaders – Rhonda McKown and Heike Dasilva – to its “Top Women to Watch in Trucking” list, recognizing their professional achievements and leadership in the transportation industry. The recognition complements other workplace honors Ryder has received in 2026, including a top 10 ranking in the Transportation, Logistics, and Aviation category on TIME’s inaugural America’s Best Companies 2026 list, recognition on Newsweek’s America’s Greatest Workplaces 2026, and a VETS Indexes 3 Star Employer Award.
