LTL shipments per workday rose by 18.0% in April and 18.6% in May. LTL tonnage per workday increased 7.6% in April and 9.8% in May. However, LTL weight per shipment declined by 8.8% in April and 7.4% in May. These changes indicate a significant rise in shipment volume but a decrease in average shipment weight.
