Chris Ripley, Sinclair's President and CEO, has been named one of Maryland's 2024 Most Admired CEOs by The Daily Record. This prestigious recognition honors talented business leaders across Maryland whose leadership and vision are admired by their peers. WBFF's Project Baltimore has won a National News Emmy® Award for their investigative series 'Disabled & Denied'. The series exposed how Baltimore City Schools violated federal education rights by denying proper education to students with disabilities. The Portland Trail Blazers have announced a new era of broadcasting, partnering with Sinclair Broadcast Group to launch the Rip City Television Network and BlazerVision, a direct-to-consumer streaming service, starting with the 2024-25 season. This marks the first time in franchise history that a majority of games will be available over-the-air on local TV, quadrupling broadcast reach throughout Oregon and Washington.

The Rip City Television Network will air games on Sinclair's local stations, including KATU and KUNP in Portland, with expanded coverage in Seattle, Medford, Eugene, and Yakima/Pasco. BlazerVision, priced at $120 annually or $19.99 monthly, will offer all non-exclusive nationally televised games, on-demand replays, and exclusive content. The company's Local Media segment core advertising revenue is expected to be $285-$293 million, slightly down from the earlier forecast due to crowd-out from increased political advertising. Saankhya Labs, Free Stream Technologies, and Sinclair Inc. (SBGI) are collaborating to develop low-cost Direct-to-Mobile (D2M) devices for consumer trials in India. These devices will use Saankhya's Pruthvi-3 ATSC 3.0 chipsets, supporting India's semiconductor and self-reliance initiatives. The partnership aims to launch various D2M-enabled devices, including smartphones, USB dongles, STB/Gateways, and feature phones, demonstrating interoperability with mobile system-on-a-chip suppliers holding over 70% global market share.
