Silicon Labs (SLAB) has announced the executive keynote lineup and agenda highlights for its seventh annual Works With Summit 2026, an invitation-only IoT event in Austin on October 6-7, 2026.
President and CEO Matt Johnson will open the October 7 keynote at ACL Live at the Moody Theater, joined by CTO Daniel Cooley and senior vice president of software development Manish Kothari. They will present the company’s perspective on technologies, AI tools and ecosystem collaboration needed to scale intelligent connected systems, and will unveil new products described as offering new-to-industry performance and capabilities. Silicon Labs (SLAB) has opened a new Austin-based research and development laboratory for advanced chip design and testing, supported in part by a $23 million grant from the Texas Semiconductor Innovation Fund created under the Texas CHIPS Act.
The Innovation Center, located at the company’s headquarters, adds advanced research, validation equipment and engineering workspace to expand R&D capabilities and accelerate wireless semiconductor innovation for next-generation Internet of Things technologies. The facility supports development across Silicon Labs’ wireless portfolio, including its Series 3 platform for smart home, industrial, healthcare, commercial and smart city applications. TSIF funding enabled upgraded equipment for more advanced wafer process nodes, helping engineers speed product development, improve technology validation and collaborate across disciplines while reinforcing Texas as a hub for semiconductor research and high-value technology jobs.
Silicon Labs (NASDAQ: SLAB) reported second quarter 2026 revenue of $228 million, up 18% year-over-year, with Industrial & Commercial revenue of $135 million (up 23%) and Home & Life revenue of $93 million (up 12%). GAAP gross margin reached 61.6%, while non-GAAP gross margin was 61.9%. Bookings and new orders accelerated and distributor and end-customer inventories declined, with medical applications delivering record revenue, up 78% year-over-year.

Silicon Labs (NASDAQ: SLAB) introduced the BG2B, a Series 2 Bluetooth® LE SoC positioned as its lowest-power Bluetooth device, targeting battery-powered IoT such as asset tracking, ESLs, smart home, industrial monitoring, and vehicle diagnostics.
BG2B features a dual-output DC-DC and multi-core architecture, delivering 14%-15% lower MCU active current, reduced Bluetooth receive current, and 1.1 µA EM2 sleep current with RAM retention versus the company’s prior lowest-power SoC. It integrates Channel Sounding (including Mode 3, NADM, Inline PCT) designed to meet Apple and Google specifications, Secure Vault™ High security aimed at PSA Level 3 compliance, CAN-FD, LED boost and four-channel LED sinks, dual 12-bit ADCs, VRL, and expanded memory. Silicon Labs (NASDAQ: SLAB) and Signify announced a collaboration to add concurrent multiprotocol (CMP) support to select Philips Hue bulbs, enabling Matter over Thread and Zigbee on a single device. The bulbs use Silicon Labs’ MG26 and SiMG301 wireless SoCs, with CMP enabled via a software update later in 2026.
Silicon Labs (NASDAQ:SLAB) announced a 200-node Matter-over-Thread validation network, operated in its Boston lab and offices under real-world wireless conditions. The deployment showed 100% commissioning success, mean multicast latencies as low as 87 ms, and less than 1% packet loss across most payload sizes.
The network used OpenThread Border Router infrastructure and Concurrent Multiprotocol (CMP) technology, validating Matter-over-Thread for commercial-scale lighting, building automation, smart buildings and next-generation smart home deployments, and supporting both Zigbee and Matter-over-Thread on a single radio.
