Slate Medicines (SLTE) appointed Stephen K. Brannan, MD, and John D. Young to its board of directors.
Brannan brings more than 25 years of clinical development experience in central nervous system disorders. He served as chief medical officer of Karuna Therapeutics from 2017 to 2024, overseeing KarXT through Phase 3 schizophrenia trials in the program that led to Cobenfy’s approval. Young brings more than 35 years of biopharmaceutical industry experience. He retired from Pfizer in 2022, most recently serving as group president and chief business officer and a member of its executive leadership team. He currently serves on the boards of Novartis and Johnson Controls International. Slate said their experience aligns with its work to advance SLTE-1009 and its portfolio of migraine treatments.
