Reddit highlights its deeply engaged communities, role in the AI ecosystem, and a corpus of over 26 billion posts and comments. With this change, Reddit will be recognized among roughly 500 of the largest and most influential U.S. public companies.
S&P Dow Jones Indices announced upcoming changes to the S&P 500 and S&P MidCap 400. Effective prior to trading on August 18, 2026, Reddit (NYSE: RDDT) will be added to the S&P 500, replacing AvalonBay Communities (NYSE: AVB), which is being acquired by S&P 500 constituent Equity Residential (NYSE: EQR).
After that merger closes, the combined company will be renamed Vivmark Residential (NYSE: VMRK) and will remain in the S&P 500. Effective prior to trading on August 20, 2026, Sun Communities (NYSE: SUI) will join the S&P MidCap 400, replacing Webster Financial (NYSE: WBS), which is being acquired by Banco Santander (NYSE: SAN). Licensed S&P Global content will connect directly into Microsoft 365 tools, including a Copilot in Excel connector and a plugin for Copilot Cowork. S&P Global (NYSE: SPGI), through S&P Dow Jones Indices, and Lincoln International announced an expansion of the S&P Lincoln Senior Debt Index Series, shifting from quarterly to monthly publication and adding new sub-indices.
The enhanced indices use Lincoln's proprietary private credit valuation data combined with S&P DJI's index design and governance to offer more granular benchmarks for U.S. and European private loan markets. Investors can now analyze performance by industry sector, loan size and company earnings, while S&P DJI remains the sole publisher, calculator, administrator and licensor of the index family.
S&P Global (NYSE: SPGI), through S&P Dow Jones Indices, has launched the S&P U.S. CLO Investment Grade Indices, a new index family designed to benchmark USD-denominated, floating-rate, investment-grade tranches of Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLOs). The series combines independent market pricing, CLO analytics, credit expertise and transparent, rules-based methodologies.
The family currently includes separate indices for AAA, AA, A and BBB-rated U.S. CLO debt. According to S&P DJI, the launch extends its role in the leveraged finance ecosystem and leverages data and analytics from S&P Global Market Intelligence and S&P Global Ratings to support market participants across structured credit markets.
S&P Global Ratings (NYSE: SPGI) reports that six of the 11 stablecoins covered by its Stablecoin Stability Assessments (SSAs) currently show an adequate or stronger ability to maintain their fiat pegs. The 1–5 SSA scale incorporates asset quality, governance, regulation, liquidity, technology, and issuer track record, with recent actions including two downgrades and nine unchanged assessments across major USD- and EUR-linked stablecoins.

Hertz Global Holdings (NASD: HTZ) will be removed from the S&P SmallCap 600 on August 5, as it is no longer viewed as representative of the small-cap market space.
Five9 (NASD: FIVN) will join the S&P SmallCap 600, replacing Two Harbors Investment (NYSE: TWO) effective prior to the market open on Monday, August 3, 2026. S&P Dow Jones Indices states this change follows CrossCountry Mortgage’s planned acquisition of Two Harbors, which remains subject to final closing conditions.
