DWS has launched the Xtrackers S&P 500 Diversified Sector Weight ETF (NASDAQ: SPXD), a new ETF designed to track the S&P 500 Diversified Sector Weight Index. The fund employs a unique reweighting approach using the Functional Information System (FIS®) framework to address sector concentration risks in large-cap benchmarks.
The ETF equally weights eight primary FIS sectors and applies a hierarchical weighting methodology based on company revenue generation within business activities. With competitive net/gross expense ratios of 0.09%, SPXD aims to provide better sector balance and improved stock-level diversification compared to traditional market cap and equal sector-weighted approaches.
