Sorrento Resources (CSE: SRS, OTCQB: SRSLF) reported new gold assay results from its Rodgers Cove Project in Newfoundland and Labrador. Drillhole RC26-010 intersected 31m grading 0.42 g/t Au from 100m, including 7m of 1.01 g/t Au from 124m. Drillhole RC26-007 returned 13m of 0.79 g/t Au from 130m. Mineralization remains open along strike and up- and down-dip, with several holes ending in mineralization.

The company emphasized QA/QC procedures and noted that results are preliminary and insufficient to define a mineral resource. Sorrento also entered a Technical Services Agreement with Bugden Geoscience, a related party, for geological consulting through December 31, 2026, with a potential aggregate value above $100,000.

Vancouver, British Columbia--(Newsfile Corp. - August 6, 2026) - Sorrento Resources Ltd. (CSE: SRS) (OTCQB: SRSLF) (the "Company" or "Sorrento"), a Canadian exploration company focused on the acquisition, exploration, and development of mineral projects in Atlantic Canada, is pleased to announce that drillhole RC26-010 intersected a 31m thick interval with a grade of 0.42g/t Au at the Company's Rodgers Cove Project in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Highlights:

  • Drill hole RC26-010 intersected 31m of 0.42g/t Au from 100m including 7m of 1.01g/t from 124m
  • Drill hole RC26-007 intersected 13m of 0.79g/t from 130m
  • Mineralization is open along strike, as well as up and down dip
  • Drill holes RC26-007 and RC26-010 both ended in mineralization and are open at depth
  • Drill holes RC26-007, RC26-008, RC26-009, RC26-010, RC26-011, RC26-012, and RC26-013 were all drilled on a NG soil anomaly and are approximately 1 to 1.5km distant from the previously reported holes

Gold mineralization primarily occurs in altered mafic dykes hosted within a quartz diorite. Locally, the quartz diorite also hosts gold and sulphide mineralization in quartz veins as well as in its groundmass.

Management Commentary

"These results continue to validate the scale and potential of the Rodgers Cove system. Intersecting broad zones of gold mineralization over a kilometre from previously reported drilling demonstrates the strength of this emerging target and reinforces our confidence in the project's exploration upside. With mineralization remaining open in multiple directions and several holes ending in mineralization, suggests that we are only beginning to understand the extent of this system. We look forward to advancing our exploration program and unlocking further value for our shareholders."

-Alex Bugden, P.Geo, Chief Executive Officer and President, Sorrento Resources Ltd.

QA/QC Commentary

Sorrento Resources QA/QC protocols were maintained through the insertion of certified reference material (standards), blanks, and duplicates within the sample stream at approximately one (1) in ten (10) samples. The drill core was cut in half with a diamond saw, with one half placed in sealed bags and shipped to the laboratory, and the other half retained on site. Chain of custody is maintained from the drill through to submittal into the laboratory preparation facility.

The samples were delivered to the Eastern Analytical Ltd. facility, Springdale, Newfoundland and Labrador for crushing and pulverizing. Analytical testing was performed by Eastern Analytical laboratory. Splits were analysed by Au 30 g fire assay and ICP-34 protocols.

The exploration results described herein are preliminary in nature and are insufficient to define a mineral resource. Further drilling is required to determine the continuity, geometry, and grade distribution of mineralization.

Technical Services Agreement

The Company further announces that it has entered into Technical Services Agreement dated July 29, 2026 with Bugden Geoscience Ltd. ("Bugden") pursuant to which Bugden will provide geological consulting services to the Company until December 31, 2026 at a daily rate, ranging from $375 - $650 per day. The agreement replaces and supercedes the previous agreement with Bugden Exploration Inc. dated January 20, 2026 (see news release dated January 30, 2026). Alex Bugden, CEO and a Director of the Company, is a significant shareholder and an officer and director of Bugden. The transaction constitutes a Significant Transaction, in accordance with the policies of the CSE, as it is a series of transactions with Related Persons with an aggregate value potentially greater than $100,000.
