Stockworks Gold (STWGF) has begun soil sampling at its Pirenópolis gold project in Brazil to investigate stream-sediment gold anomalies.
Earlier samples from two parallel drainages 1.0 to 1.5 kilometers apart assayed up to 6.38 ppm gold (6.38 g/t). Follow-up sampling narrowed the potential source area, and a quartz boulder from the area assayed 0.8 g/t gold. The survey will cover ground alongside and between the streams. A separate anomaly, with assays up to 0.943 ppm (0.94 g/t gold), is also being surveyed. The interpreted source area overlaps a feature identified by a completed drone magnetic survey. Stockworks expects the soil results and magnetic data to define targets for its first drilling campaign; the bedrock source has not been established.
