V Ten Metals (VTNMF) reported progress on its Tanami exploration farm-in and joint venture with a wholly owned Newmont subsidiary.
Newmont has incurred expenditures in the order of $330,000 since the agreement was signed in May 2024, toward a $500,000 option-period expenditure requirement due by 26 August 2028. The portions covered by the agreement were separated and combined into a single tenement, EL 34507, issued on 26 August 2026. A project-wide prospect ranking and evaluation study is underway and is expected to be completed during Q4 2026. Its findings will help guide future exploration planning and priorities at the Northern Territory, Australia property.
V Ten Metals (VTNMF) has completed reverse circulation drilling and plans additional diamond core drilling at its Tanami Property in Australia.
Unexpected subsurface water created wet-ground challenges during the completed program. The drilling contractor is reconfiguring the rig for diamond core drilling, with drilling scheduled to restart later in October 2026. This method uses water rather than compressed air; the company expects technically superior core samples compared with the chips collected through reverse circulation drilling.
A received grant of $115,000, inclusive of GST, from the Northern Territory Department of Mining's Geophysics and Drilling Collaborations program will partially fund the work at exploration license EL23875.
V Ten Metals (VTNMF) has completed the first round of field geochemical soil sampling at its Tanami Property in the Northern Territory, Australia. The 1,237 sq km property comprises four granted exploration licences, including EL 23848, where a partial leach geochemical survey targeted the margins of the Billabong Complex for rare earth element (REE) mineralisation. The program collected approximately 180 ultra-fine soil samples on 400 m spaced lines. Partial funding for this work at EL 23848 comes from a $24,393 grant from the Northern Territory Department of Mining, Geophysics and Drilling Collaborations program.
