Insights

Energous shows clear operational progress: rising revenue, improving margins, lower losses, and a multi‑million dollar cash runway.

The company reported revenue of $1.3 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2025, a sequential increase of 30% and a year‑over‑year improvement versus the prior year quarter. Gross profit rose to $0.5 million and gross margin improved to 36%, while GAAP operating expenses declined to $2.6 million.

GAAP net loss narrowed to $(2.1) million (loss per share $(1.31)), the smallest quarterly loss in over a decade, and non‑GAAP metrics show similar improvement. The balance sheet lists $12.9 million in cash and a confirmed order backlog of $4.1 million expected to ship within twelve months, supported by $22.7 million of capital raised year‑to‑date.

Key dependencies and risks include sustaining revenue growth, converting PoCs and backlog into repeat enterprise deployments, and maintaining margins while scaling manufacturing. Watch conversion of PoCs with enterprise customers and the shipment schedule for the $4.1 million backlog over the next 12 months; these items directly affect the company’s path to profitability.

  • The Company introduced two new products: the AI driven PowerBridge MOD and PowerBridge PRO+ with integrated gateway. These new products exemplify Energous’ mission to continue delivering innovative, adaptable, and versatile enterprise asset tracking solutions. (Energous Introduces New Transmitter Systems Creating Adaptable and Versatile Asset Tracking Solutions)
