Sentiment and the balance of points

Rhea-AI Sentiment reads the wording of the document, how positive or negative its language is on a 1 to 5 scale. The balance of points shown with the takes weighs what the document actually discloses, so the two can disagree, for example when a trial that missed its main goal is described in upbeat language.

X-energy (Nasdaq: XE), Alleima and Doosan Enerbility announced the first procurement of steam generator tubing for X-energy’s Xe-100 advanced small modular reactor.

The order advances procurement of a safety-significant, long-lead component for the reactor’s first deployment, a proposed four-unit plant with Dow in Texas under the U.S. Department of Energy’s Advanced Reactor Demonstration Program. Alleima will manufacture specialized stainless steel tubing, and Doosan will bend it into helical coils for the steam generator. The order follows a framework signed by the three companies earlier this year. X-energy is also advancing more than 11 GW of new nuclear power through commercial projects in the United States and United Kingdom.

How this balance works

Rhea-AI gives every point it takes from this document a weight. Minor counts 1, Moderate 3 and Major 9, so one Major point outweighs several Minor ones. The bar adds up the weights on each side, and when neither side holds more than 65% of the total the balance reads Mixed.

It reads the document as published, with the same rules for every company, and it does not look at what the market expected or at how the stock traded, so a point can be objectively good on a day the stock falls.

Rhea-AI Sentiment measures something else, the tone of the wording.

Key Terms

small modular reactor, steam generator tubing, helical coils
3 terms
small modular reactor technical
"for the Company’s Xe-100 advanced small modular reactor"
A small modular reactor is a compact nuclear power plant designed to generate electricity in smaller amounts compared to traditional reactors. It can be built in factories, then transported and assembled on-site, making it quicker and often cheaper to deploy. For investors, these reactors represent a potential source of clean energy with lower upfront costs and flexible scaling, which could influence future energy markets and infrastructure investments.
steam generator tubing technical
"announced the first procurement of steam generator tubing"
Steam generator tubing is the bundle of metal tubes inside a steam generator through which one fluid flows and transfers heat to another to produce steam; in power plants the tubes carry the hot primary or feedwater and let heat pass through their walls so steam forms on the other side. The tubes form a pressure boundary between the two fluids, so their material, thickness and integrity determine resistance to corrosion, cracking and leaks; damage or breaches in these tubes can allow mixing of the two circuits and require inspection, repair or replacement.
helical coils technical
"Doosan will bend into helical coils using its proprietary fabrication processes"
A helical coil is a length of wire, ribbon, or other material formed into a spiral (helix) shape. The geometry gives the part spring-like mechanical properties and, for electrical versions, inductive electrical properties; in medical or industrial products helical coils can serve as springs, structural supports, electrical inductors, or occlusive/embolization implants that block or fill a vessel or cavity. The phrase is descriptive rather than proprietary, so its precise material, size, coating, or intended function must be specified elsewhere to know exactly what a particular helical coil does.

  • Partnership with Alleima and Doosan Enerbility for long-lead components
  • Secures safety-significant components essential for high-temperature industrial applications

ROCKVILLE, Md., Nov. 04, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- X-Energy, Inc. (Nasdaq: XE) (“X-energy” or the “Company”), a leading developer of advanced nuclear reactors and fuel technology, Alleima, a global manufacturer of advanced stainless steels and special alloys and solutions for industrial heating, and Doosan Enerbility Co., Ltd. (“Doosan”) announced the first procurement of steam generator tubing for the Company’s Xe-100 advanced small modular reactor (“SMR”). The order advances procurement of a safety-significant, long-lead component for the first deployment of the Xe-100, a proposed four-unit plant in partnership with Dow in Texas under the U.S. Department of Energy's Advanced Reactor Demonstration Program (“ARDP”).

Alleima will leverage its expertise in high-temperature alloys to manufacture specialized stainless steel tubing, which Doosan will bend into helical coils using its proprietary fabrication processes. These coils are a central component of the Xe-100 steam generator, safely removing heat to produce high-temperature steam of up to 565°C and allowing a single Xe-100 to deliver both electricity and high-temperature process heat for industrial applications. This follows the signing of a strategic framework by the three companies earlier this year as the Company scales its supply chain to meet its growing commercial pipeline.

“Behind every component in the Xe-100 is a team of experts who know what it takes to get it right, both at X-energy and across our growing supplier base," said Jesse Walker, Chief Supply Chain Officer at X-energy. "Alleima and Doosan are among the world’s leading producers of these components, and we look forward to continuing to learn from their expertise as we drive our technology to full commercial scale.”

“Moving from today's reactor technologies to the next generation of nuclear power requires trusted materials partners. We are proud to support Doosan Enerbility with advanced tubing solutions for X-energy's Xe-100 program," said Carl von Schantz, President of Tube Division, Alleima.

Alleima is among the world's largest suppliers of steam generator tubing, with an established track record across the nuclear, oil and gas, and aerospace industries for quality and performance in high-temperature applications. This supports X-energy's efforts to de-risk the supply chain for long-lead components across its commercial portfolio. Doosan brings extensive experience producing major components for nuclear facilities, having supplied 34 reactor vessels and 124 steam generators to nuclear facilities worldwide. Fabrication of helical coils follows a December 2025 agreement between X-energy and Doosan, reserving capacity for 16 sets of Xe-100 pressure vessels for the reactor, steam generator, and internal nuclear-grade steel components such as helical coils. Commercial production follows extensive collaboration between X-energy and Doosan, with technical work first beginning in 2021 to optimize Xe-100 components for commercial-scale production and quality.

The partnership among X-energy, Alleima, and Doosan is part of a growing, diversified coalition of experienced suppliers supporting Xe-100 deployment worldwide, and contributes to the development of an industrial supply chain capable of advancing fleet-scale deployment of advanced technologies. In addition to its first deployment with Dow under ARDP, X-energy is advancing more than 11 GW of new nuclear power with commercial projects underway in the United States with Amazon, in conjunction with Energy Northwest and AEP, as well as in the United Kingdom with Centrica. Together, this growing commercial portfolio advances the Company’s mission of building energy solutions that empower the unprecedented.
