Connect, Manage, and Convert
Square Sellers who connect their locations to Apple Business can:
- Manage their brand and add a logo, across connected locations, allowing them to enhance and extend their brand presence to Apple Maps place cards, directly from Square Dashboard.
- Automatically sync key business details for each connected location, such as hours, address, and phone number, so this information stays up-to-date and accurate across Apple Maps, Siri AI, Apple Wallet, and other Apple apps and services without manual updates.
- Turn discovery into engagement across connected locations with action links such as Menu, Order, Pickup, Delivery, Book, or Schedule Appointment, so customers can take action directly from an Apple Maps place card.
The integration launches across Square’s eight supported regions – for eligible sellers with physical locations – with this initial feature set, and additional capabilities to help sellers manage and optimize their Apple presence are planned for future releases. Additionally, in the
Why This Matters for Sellers
For sellers that connect their account, the integration is designed to make it easy for sellers to turn Apple discovery into measurable demand, without adding operational overhead:
- Drive discovery where customers are searching: Sellers gain increased visibility, with claimed locations getting
30% more views on Apple Maps.[2] - Convert discovery into action: Action links on Apple Maps create a seamless path from discovery to action – increasing clickthrough rates by
31% across website, call, and action buttons.[3] - Save time: When sellers update their business information in Square, it stays in sync across their connected locations on Apple Maps place cards automatically.
- Stay informed with insights to come: Future plans currently include the integration of additional Apple Business features, such as a seller’s place card engagement metrics, along with useful peer group benchmarks.
Built for Local Businesses
The integration is designed to meet sellers where they are. For example, Food & Beverage (F&B) sellers can add action links to their Apple Maps place card that can connect customers to their Square ordering, pickup, delivery, or menu experiences; health, wellness and beauty businesses can connect customers to their Square booking and appointment experiences; and retailers can keep key business information and branding accurate across their locations. As the integration expands, Square plans to bring additional Apple Business capabilities and place card features into Square Dashboard.
"With six locations and a menu that changes often, keeping every listing accurate used to be a constant chore,” said Christopher Tompkins, founder of Broad Street Oyster Co. “Now it all runs from one dashboard and syncs to the platforms we use automatically, Apple Maps included. That saves us meaningful time each week, which we'd rather spend running the restaurants."
Committed to Local, Together
Square and Apple share a commitment to local businesses and a belief that they are essential to the health of the neighborhoods they serve. As part of that shared commitment, the integration is designed to help sellers of every size – from single-location shops to multi-location operators – maintain an accurate, consistent presence across Apple’s apps and services.
Part of a Broader Discovery Strategy
The Apple Business integration adds to a growing set of ways Square helps sellers show up wherever customers are searching, including recent integrations by Square with ChatGPT and Claude that help sellers get discovered through AI-powered conversations. Together, these moves reflect Square’s approach to reducing operational complexity for sellers as new discovery surfaces continue to emerge.
“The survival and success of local businesses hinges on whether customers can find them, and today, more of that discovery happens through Apple Maps,” said Morgan Kuntze, Global Partnerships Lead at Block. “This integration means our sellers don’t have to choose between running their business and keeping every channel updated. Once connected in Square, your presence across Apple stays accurate and syncs automatically. It’s one more way we’re helping sellers become neighborhood favorites by driving discoverability where it matters most.”
