Sentiment and the balance of points

Rhea-AI Sentiment reads the wording of the document, how positive or negative its language is on a 1 to 5 scale. The balance of points shown with the takes weighs what the document actually discloses, so the two can disagree, for example when a trial that missed its main goal is described in upbeat language.

Rhea-AI Filing Summary

argenx SE reported third-quarter 2026 product net sales of $1.721 billion, up 54% year over year. How this balance works

Rhea-AI gives every point it takes from this document a weight. Minor counts 1, Moderate 3 and Major 9, so one Major point outweighs several Minor ones. The bar adds up the weights on each side, and when neither side holds more than 65% of the total the balance reads Mixed.

It reads the document as published, with the same rules for every company, and it does not look at what the market expected or at how the stock traded, so a point can be objectively good on a day the stock falls.

Rhea-AI Sentiment measures something else, the tone of the wording.

neonatal Fc receptor (FcRn) medical
"binds to the neonatal Fc receptor (FcRn)"
Neonatal Fc receptor (FcRn) is a protein in the body that binds and protects certain antibodies from being broken down, effectively acting like a recycling center that extends their lifespan and helps move them between tissues. For investors, FcRn matters because medicines that target or use this receptor can change how long antibody drugs last or reduce harmful antibodies in autoimmune diseases, affecting dosing, effectiveness, safety and commercial value.
Supplemental Biologics License Application (sBLA) regulatory
"Submitted a Supplemental Biologics License Application (sBLA)"
A supplemental biologics license application (sBLA) is a formal request to a drug regulator to approve a change to a biologic product that already has a license, such as a new use, manufacturing process, dosage form, or labeling update. Investors care because approval can expand sales or reduce costs, while rejection or delay can create regulatory risk and affect revenue; think of it as asking permission to alter a proven recipe before selling the new version.
PDUFA target action date regulatory
"with a PDUFA target action date in February 2027"
The PDUFA target action date is the deadline set by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) by which it aims to decide whether to approve or reject a new drug application. This date helps investors gauge when a company’s new medication might reach the market, potentially influencing sales and revenue expectations. It acts as a key milestone signaling progress in the drug approval process.
Alternative Performance Measure (APM) financial
"A non-IFRS Alternative Performance Measure (APM)"
adjusted operating profit margin financial
"Adjusted operating profit margin of 37%"
Adjusted operating profit margin measures the share of each dollar of sales a company keeps from its core business after removing the effects of one-time or non-recurring items (for example, unusual charges or gains). It matters to investors because it shows the underlying efficiency and profitability of ongoing operations—like checking a car’s fuel efficiency after excluding rare detours—making results easier to compare across periods and companies.

October 22, 2026 7:00 AM CET

Amsterdam, the Netherlands – argenx SE (Euronext & Nasdaq: ARGX), the immunology innovation company, today announced its third quarter 2026 results and provided a business update.

“The story of argenx is one of continued innovation, growth and impact,” said Karen Massey, Chief Executive Officer. “VYVGART is the foundation of our business and continues to deliver strong performance across gMG and CIDP, with significant opportunity still ahead as we reach more patients, expand into new indications, and advance the next wave of FcRn medicines. The positive results from our Phase 3 ALKIVIA study further reinforce the potential of VYVGART beyond neurology, and underscore how much more it can deliver for patients. The upcoming Phase 3 readout for empasiprubart in MMN, the advancement of FB102, and progress across our emerging immunology pipeline are bringing the next chapter of argenx into focus as we build a global immunology innovator positioned for durable growth and value creation well beyond Vision 2030.”

Vision 2030

argenx remains on track to achieve its ‘Vision 2030’ anchored in the ambition to treat 50,000 patients globally with its medicines, secure 10 labeled indications, and progress five pipeline candidates into registrational development by 2030.

It is also approved for chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP) globally, and primary immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) in Japan. Building on VYVGART’s leadership in MG and CIDP, argenx is progressing multiple label and indication expansions, exploring VYVGART’s potential in additional autoimmune diseases through proof-of-concept studies, and advancing next-generation FcRn molecules and delivery modalities.
•Generated $1.7 billion in global product net sales in the third quarter of 2026, representing 54% year-over-year growth and 13% quarter-over-quarter growth

argenx_logoxrgba.jpg
Advancing empasiprubart, argenx’s second pipeline-in-a-product opportunity

Empasiprubart (anti-C2) is argenx’s second pipeline-in-a-product opportunity and is being evaluated in Phase 3 studies in multifocal motor neuropathy (MMN) and CIDP, with additional Phase 2 studies exploring its potential in other indications and in combination with VYVGART in gMG.

•Topline results from the Phase 3 EMPASSION study (MMN) expected in December 2026

In this document, argenx's financial results are provided in accordance with IFRS® Accounting Standards (IFRS) and using a non-IFRS financial measure, cash, cash equivalents and current financial assets.
This value should not be viewed as a substitute for the company’s IFRS financial information and is provided as a complement to financial information provided in accordance with IFRS and should be read in conjunction with the most directly comparable IFRS financial information as set out below.
Management believes this non-IFRS financial measure is useful for securities analysts, investors and other interested parties to gain a more complete understanding of the company's available financial liquidities given that the company’s current financial assets are held in term accounts with an initial maturity of more than three months but less than twelve that may be used to meet its financial obligations. Such non-IFRS financial information, as calculated herein, may not be comparable to similarly named measures used by other companies and should not be considered comparable to IFRS financial measures. Non-IFRS financial measures have limitations as an analytical tool and should not be considered in isolation from, or as a substitute for, an analysis of the company's financial results as reported under IFRS.
A reconciliation of the IFRS financial information to non-IFRS financial information is included below:
