Filing Explained

The filing additionally states that Autohome has actively repurchased ADSs during the past few months, but it gives no amount for those earlier repurchases.

New Share Repurchase Program Size US$400 million Maximum aggregate amount of ADS repurchases authorized under the new program
Program Duration 12 months Period over which ADS repurchases may occur under the new program
Program Effective Date July 28, 2026 Date from which the new share repurchase program is effective
share repurchase program financial
"approved a new share repurchase program effective from July 28, 2026"
A share repurchase program is when a company buys back its own shares from the marketplace. This reduces the total number of shares available, which can increase the value of each remaining share and signal confidence in the company's prospects. For investors, it often suggests that the company believes its stock is undervalued or that it has extra cash to return to shareholders.
American depositary shares financial
"may repurchase up to US$400 million of its American depositary shares"
American depositary shares (ADSs) are a way for investors in the United States to buy shares of foreign companies without dealing with international markets directly. They represent ownership in a foreign company's stock and are traded on U.S. stock exchanges, making it easier for American investors to buy, sell, and own parts of companies from around the world.
block trades financial
"in privately negotiated transactions, in block trades and/or through other means"
A block trade is a single, large buy or sell of shares or bonds arranged privately between big traders rather than piecemeal on the public market. Think of it like buying a whole shipment at once instead of many small shopping trips; it lets large holders move big positions with less immediate disruption but can signal strong buying or selling pressure and cause price swings once the trade is known, so investors watch block trades for clues about market sentiment and liquidity.
forward-looking statements regulatory
"press release contains statements that may constitute forward-looking statements"
Forward-looking statements are predictions or plans that companies share about what they expect to happen in the future, like estimating sales or profits. They matter because they help investors understand a company's outlook, but since they are based on guesses and assumptions, they can sometimes be wrong.
