Founding year 2003 Year BrainsWay was founded
Deep Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation medical
"its proprietary Deep Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (Deep TMS™) platform technology"
A noninvasive medical therapy that uses focused magnetic pulses to stimulate brain regions deeper than standard transcranial magnetic stimulation; think of it as a magnetic “tuning fork” placed outside the head to gently nudge deeper neural circuits. It matters to investors because its clinical effectiveness, regulatory approvals, device manufacturing, and insurance coverage determine market size and revenue potential for companies that make or sell the equipment and treatment services.
interventional psychiatry medical
"expand access to transformative care via interventional psychiatry solutions"
Interventional psychiatry is a medical specialty that treats severe or treatment-resistant mental health conditions using targeted procedures and fast-acting therapies, such as controlled brain stimulation or brief infusion treatments, rather than only daily pills and talk therapy. For investors it matters because these procedures require specialized equipment, trained clinics, regulatory approvals and reimbursement pathways, creating distinct markets and revenue streams and affecting a company’s commercial and regulatory risk—think of it as precision tools opening new business lines in mental health care.
preferred, annually compounding security financial
"invest $500,000 for a minority position in Sound Minds in the form of a preferred, annually compounding security"
outpatient behavioral health platform medical
"a leading growth-oriented outpatient behavioral health platform with multiple locations"
pivotal clinical studies medical
"three FDA-cleared indications backed by pivotal clinical studies demonstrating clinically proven efficacy"
Pivotal clinical studies are the late-stage medical trials designed to provide the strong, conclusive evidence regulators need to decide whether a drug or medical product can be approved. Think of them as the final exam for a treatment: passing can unlock sales, patents and broad market access, while failing can erase expected revenue, making their outcomes a major driver of an investment’s value and risk.
