Rhea-AI Filing Summary

CIG (Cemig) declared R$200 million in Interest on Equity (R$0.06991340114 gross per share), payable in two equal installments by June 30 and December 30, 2027. Wholly owned Cemig GT completed a R$1 billion debenture issuance at CDI + 0.62% p.a.; wholly owned Cemig D completed a R$2 billion issuance in two R$1 billion series at CDI + 0.73% p.a. and IPCA + 7.3500% p.a. Cemig guarantees both issuances, each rated AAA(bra) by Fitch.

Cemig GT’s proceeds are for cash-flow management, including operations and investment reimbursement. Cemig D’s first series supports cash-flow management and investment reimbursement; its second is exclusively for reimbursing project costs, expenses and/or debt incurred from February through May 2025. Cemig’s board approved accepting conditions for a 30-year extension of the Sá Carvalho concession under the quota system, as of August 31, 2026; Cemig will have 210 days after ministry notice to execute the amendment. The board elected Marco Aurélio Martins da Costa Vasconcelos CEO and Alexandre Ramos Peixoto chair. BNY Mellon becomes ADR depositary on October 19, 2026, with program characteristics unchanged except for operational procedures.

For the October 16, 2026 extraordinary shareholders’ meeting, minority shareholder FIA Dinâmica Energia nominated board candidates and requested cumulative voting; Cemig updated its remote voting form, while votes already cast remained valid and could be replaced only through October 12, 2026.

Interest on Equity financial
"declaration of Interest on Equity (IoE) of R$ 200,000,000"
A payment a company makes to its shareholders that compensates them for the capital they provided, similar to how a lender receives interest on a loan. In some accounting or tax systems this payment is treated like interest rather than a regular dividend, which can change a company’s reported profit, cash flow and the taxable income of investors; that treatment affects shareholder returns and valuation.
Debentures financial
"simple, unsecured debentures, not convertible into shares"
A debenture is a company’s long-term IOU sold to investors that promises regular interest payments and repayment of principal at a set date; unlike equity, it represents debt rather than ownership. Think of it like lending money to a business in exchange for a fixed stream of payments, so investors watch a debenture’s interest rate and the borrower’s financial health to judge income reliability and risk of not being repaid.
quota system regulatory
"extended under the quota system"
physical guarantee technical
"physical guarantee of 54.4 average MW"
American Depositary Receipts financial
"change in the depositary financial institution for its American Depositary Receipts"
A certificate traded on U.S. markets that represents ownership of shares in a foreign company, letting U.S. investors buy and sell that company as if it were listed domestically. Think of it as a local voucher for a foreign product: it makes price quotes in dollars, trades on familiar exchanges, and brings differences in liquidity, fees and legal protections that can affect returns and risk compared with buying the underlying foreign shares directly.
