How this balance works

Rhea-AI gives every point it takes from this document a weight. Minor counts 1, Moderate 3 and Major 9, so one Major point outweighs several Minor ones. The bar adds up the weights on each side, and when neither side holds more than 65% of the total the balance reads Mixed.

It reads the document as published, with the same rules for every company, and it does not look at what the market expected or at how the stock traded, so a point can be objectively good on a day the stock falls.

Rhea-AI Sentiment measures something else, the tone of the wording.

Filing Explained

At October 2, L3Harris reported redeemable preferred stock at a subsidiary, alongside conversion-feature and warrant balances.

This Form 8-K furnishes L3Harris’s third-quarter results; its balance sheet also reports preferred stock and warrants at a subsidiary, a separate capital structure from the parent’s common stock.

As of October 2, 2026, the balance sheet lists redeemable Series A convertible preferred stock, a conversion-feature liability, and subsidiary warrants; year-to-date net proceeds from preferred-stock issuance were reported.

The release also names seven-year THAAD and PAC-3 MSE propulsion contracts, valued at $6.3 billion and $4.7 billion excluding escalations, and describes both as undefinitized.

FY 2026 GAAP EPS guidance $12.25 to $12.35 Raised from $11.80 to $12.00
organic revenue financial
"Organic revenue is a non-GAAP Financial Measure"
Organic revenue is the sales a company generates from its regular business activities after stripping out extra effects like revenue added or lost from buying or selling other businesses and from currency swings. Think of it as measuring how much a store’s own customers increased spending, not growth from opening new stores or temporary price moves; investors use it to judge the true strength and sustainability of a company’s core demand.
book-to-bill financial
"Book-to-bill ratio was 3.2x for the quarter"
The book-to-bill ratio compares new orders a company has received (bookings) to the products or services it has invoiced or shipped (billings) over the same period. It matters to investors because a ratio above 1 means demand is outpacing fulfillment and the company may grow revenue or build backlog, while a ratio below 1 suggests slowing demand and possible future revenue weakness — think of it as new customer orders versus what the company actually sold.
undefinitized contract technical
"seven-year undefinitized contract to scale propulsion production"
A contract awarded before final price, scope, or delivery details are settled, where the buyer and seller agree to proceed while key terms remain to be negotiated. It matters to investors because revenue, profit margins, and cash flow tied to the work are uncertain until the contract is definitized, similar to starting a building project with only a rough plan — costs and timelines can change once the details are fixed.
free cash flow financial
"Free cash flow is a non-GAAP Financial Measure"
Free cash flow is the amount of money a company has left over after paying all its expenses and investing in its business, like buying equipment or updating facilities. It shows how much cash is available to reward shareholders, pay down debt, or save for future growth. This helps investors understand if a company is financially healthy and able to grow.
contractual backlog financial
"Ending contractual backlog"
The total value of signed contracts for goods or services that a company has committed to deliver but has not yet completed or billed. Think of it as a queue of future work the company has promised to do—like a list of booked jobs waiting to be finished. Investors care because contractual backlog shows near-term revenue visibility and workload; a growing backlog suggests future income and capacity utilization, while declines or long delays can signal execution or demand problems.
Revenue $6.06 billion Up 7% year over year
Diluted EPS $3.28 per share Up 33% year over year
Operating margin 13.0% Up 200 basis points year over year

1 Segment revenue, segment operating income and segment operating margin are non-GAAP Financial Measures as defined by Regulation G and reconciled to GAAP in Table 4. A reconciliation of segment operating margin on a forward-looking basis to GAAP is not available without unreasonable effort due to the unavailability of items for exclusion from the GAAP measure. We are unable to address the probable significance of this information, the variability of which may have a significant impact on future GAAP results.
2 Revenue attributable to our corporate headquarters, which includes amortization of program investment asset recognized in connection with DoW strategic investment in 2026. Year to date 2025 includes our divested Commercial Aviation Solutions business CAS disposal group.
3 Free cash flow is a non-GAAP Financial Measure defined and reconciled to GAAP in Table 6. Net cash provided by operating activities is anticipated to be approximately $3.6 billion and capital expenditures are anticipated to be approximately $600 million. As of third quarter 2026, we no longer include proceeds from disposal of property, plant and equipment, net. Prior periods have been recast for comparability.

We believe this metric provide investors a more complete understanding of factors and trends affecting our business.
3 Refer to Key Terms on page 10.
4 Includes a portion of management and administration, legal, environmental, compensation, retiree benefits, corporate eliminations and other. Year to date 2025 also includes the divested CAS disposal group.

1 Free cash flow is a non-GAAP Financial Measure as defined by Regulation G. As of third quarter 2026, we no longer include proceeds from disposal of property, plant and equipment, net. Prior periods have been recast for comparability. We use free cash flow to evaluate business performance and overall liquidity, and it is a performance metric in our annual incentive plan. We believe free cash flow is useful because it represents the cash generated from operations after reinvesting in our business that may be available to return to stockholders and creditors through dividends, share repurchases, and debt repayments, or to fund acquisitions or other investments. However, the entire amount of the free cash flow is not available for discretionary expenditures because of certain mandatory expenditures, such as debt repayments.

As of third quarter 202 6, we no longer include proceeds from disposal of property, plant and equipment, net. Prior periods have been recast for comp ara bility. We use free cash flow to evaluate business performance and overall liquidity, and it is a performance metric in our annual incentive plan . We believe free cash flow is useful because it represents the cash generated from operations after reinvesting in our business that may be available to return to stockholders and creditors through dividends, share repurchases, and debt repayments, or to fund acquisitions or other inv est ments. We use free cash flow conversion to evaluate our ability to convert earnings into cash that may be available to suppor t operations, reduce debt, and return capital to shareholders. However, the entire amount of the free cash flow converted is not available for discretionary ex penditures because of certain mandatory expenditures, such as debt repayments.
