How this balance works

Rhea-AI gives every point it takes from this document a weight. Minor counts 1, Moderate 3 and Major 9, so one Major point outweighs several Minor ones. The bar adds up the weights on each side, and when neither side holds more than 65% of the total the balance reads Mixed.

It reads the document as published, with the same rules for every company, and it does not look at what the market expected or at how the stock traded, so a point can be objectively good on a day the stock falls.

Rhea-AI Sentiment measures something else, the tone of the wording.

Filing Explained

A Form 6-K furnishes a foreign private issuer’s interim material information; here, Nova’s GAAP financial statement tables are also incorporated by reference into its Form S-8 registration statement filed on August 25, 2017.

Revenue $287.8 million Third quarter 2026; up 13% from Q2 2026 and 28% from Q3 2025
GAAP net income $90.0 million Third quarter 2026; compared with $61.4 million in Q3 2025
GAAP diluted earnings per share $2.64 Third quarter 2026; compared with $1.90 in Q3 2025
Non-GAAP net income $98.4 million Third quarter 2026; compared with $70.0 million in Q3 2025
Estimated GAAP diluted earnings per share $2.78 to $2.93 Fourth quarter 2026 outlook
Estimated non-GAAP diluted earnings per share $3.03 to $3.18 Fourth quarter 2026 outlook
Net cash provided by operating activities $219.077 million First nine months of 2026; compared with $185.485 million in the first nine months of 2025
Gross margin financial
"Gross margin in the third quarter of 2026 was 57.7%"
Gross margin is the difference between how much money a company makes from selling its products and how much it costs to produce them, expressed as a percentage of sales. It shows how efficiently a company is turning sales into profit before other expenses like marketing or salaries. Higher gross margin means the company keeps more money from each sale, which is a good sign of financial health.
Non-GAAP financial measures financial
"provide meaningful supplemental information regarding Nova's performance"
Non-GAAP financial measures are numbers companies use to show their financial performance that exclude certain expenses or income. They help investors see how the company might perform without one-time costs or other unusual items, giving a different perspective from official reports. However, since they can be adjusted, they don’t always tell the full story and should be looked at alongside standard financial figures.
Convertible senior notes financial
"Convertible senior notes, net"
Convertible senior notes are a type of loan that a company issues to investors, which can be turned into company shares later on. They are called "senior" because they are paid back before other debts if the company runs into trouble. This allows investors to earn interest like a loan but also have the chance to own part of the company if its value rises.
Capped calls financial
"Purchase of capped calls"
A capped call is a type of option tied to a company’s convertible securities that gives the holder the right to buy shares up to a set price, but with a fixed ceiling on the payout. Companies commonly use capped calls to reduce the number of new shares that would dilute existing shareholders if convertibles turn into stock; for investors this matters because capped calls can limit dilution, affect share supply, and alter the potential upside and risk of owning the stock.
