Sentiment and the balance of points

Rhea-AI Sentiment reads the wording of the document, how positive or negative its language is on a 1 to 5 scale. The balance of points shown with the takes weighs what the document actually discloses, so the two can disagree, for example when a trial that missed its main goal is described in upbeat language.

Project capacity 3.26 MW Camillus community solar project
Transaction value US$7.3 million Camillus was sold to and constructed for Solar Advocate Development LLC
Completed projects More than 100 MW PowerBank’s completed projects
Development pipeline Approaching 1 GW PowerBank’s development pipeline
permission to operate technical
"has achieved permission to operate"
Permission to operate is the official approval from regulators or authorities that allows a product, medical device, facility, or service to be sold, used, or run in a particular market or region. For investors, it matters because this clearance is like a driver’s license for a business activity: without it the company cannot legally generate revenue from that product or operation, and obtaining or losing it can materially affect future sales and risk.
community solar technical
"community solar project"
Community solar is a shared solar power system that allows multiple people or businesses to benefit from a single solar installation, often located off their property. Participants typically buy or lease a portion of the solar energy generated, which helps reduce their electricity bills and supports renewable energy efforts. For investors, community solar represents an opportunity to support sustainable projects while earning stable returns from a growing clean energy market.
ground-mount technical
"3.26 MW ground-mount community solar project"
A ground-mount is a solar energy installation where panels are fixed to racks or frames anchored directly into the ground, rather than being placed on a roof or existing structure. For investors it matters because these projects use more land and usually require larger upfront spending but allow easier access, simpler maintenance and greater scale, which affect how much power they can produce, the approvals needed, and the long-term returns.
development pipeline financial
"development pipeline approaching 1 GW"
A development pipeline is the collection of products, drugs, or projects a company is actively creating, shown by the stage each one is in from early research to final approval or launch. For investors it acts like a roadmap of future revenue potential and risk—similar to a restaurant’s planned menu items at different stages of testing—because items farther along are likelier to generate sales while earlier-stage projects carry more uncertainty and longer timelines.
battery energy storage systems technical
"solar and battery energy storage systems"
Large, grid-connected rechargeable battery systems that store electricity for later use, like a giant household battery for cities or power plants. They matter to investors because they help balance supply and demand, enable more renewable energy, reduce outage risk, and create revenue through services such as selling stored power at peak times or participating in grid stability programs, while requiring upfront capital and having performance limits tied to lifespan and degradation.

PowerBank Secures Permission to Operate for 3.26 MW New York Solar Project Valued at US$7.3 Million

New York Community Solar Project Reaches Key Operational Milestone, Expanding PowerBank’s Track Record of Successful Renewable Energy Development

Camillus milestone reinforces PowerBank’s execution capabilities, with more than 100 MW of completed projects and a development pipeline approaching 1 GW

Toronto, Ontario, November 3, 2026 — PowerBank Corporation (Nasdaq: PBK) (Cboe CA: PBK) (FSE: 103) (“PowerBank” or the “Company”), a leader in independent energy development and asset ownership in North America, is pleased to announce that the 3.26 MW ground-mount community solar project known as Camillus (the “Project”) has achieved permission to operate, marking a key milestone in bringing the Project into service. Developed on a closed landfill, Camillus transforms previously underutilized land into a productive renewable energy site serving local households. The Project was sold to and constructed for Solar Advocate Development LLC (the “Owner”) in a transaction valued at US$7.3 million.

Camillus adds to PowerBank’s track record of more than 100 MW of completed projects, demonstrating the Company’s ability to advance complex developments through construction and operational approval. With a development pipeline approaching 1 GW, PowerBank continues to pursue opportunities to apply that experience across a broader portfolio of North American energy projects.

Turning Challenging Sites into Energy Assets

PowerBank’s President and Chief Operating Officer, Andrew van Doorn commented: “A closed landfill is land that most people would write off. At Camillus, our engineers and construction partners turned it into a 3.26 MW source of clean power for local households. Reaching permission to operate on a site like this reflects decades of hands-on experience, and it’s exactly the kind of project where that experience matters most.”

Delivering Local Benefits Through Community Solar

Camillus is now authorized to begin operating as a community solar project, enabling participating renters and homeowners to access the financial and environmental benefits of solar energy without installing rooftop panels on their home. Subscribers receive credits on their electricity bills based on their share of the Project’s solar energy generated.

Solar Simplified manages customer acquisition, enrollment and subscription services for community solar projects developed by PowerBank’s subsidiary, Abundant Solar Power. This support allows the development team to focus on project execution and portfolio expansion while helping connect households with community solar savings.

Building on a Proven Development Platform

The Camillus milestone demonstrates PowerBank’s ability to combine engineering expertise, construction execution and strategic relationships to bring renewable energy projects into service.

As electrification, artificial intelligence and data center expansion place an unprecedented demand on North American electricity needs, PowerBank’s completed-project track record and development pipeline provide a foundation for pursuing further growth.
