How this balance works

Rhea-AI gives every point it takes from this document a weight. Minor counts 1, Moderate 3 and Major 9, so one Major point outweighs several Minor ones. The bar adds up the weights on each side, and when neither side holds more than 65% of the total the balance reads Mixed.

It reads the document as published, with the same rules for every company, and it does not look at what the market expected or at how the stock traded, so a point can be objectively good on a day the stock falls.

Rhea-AI Sentiment measures something else, the tone of the wording.

ATM programs financial
"net proceeds through the Company’s ATM programs"
An at-the-market (ATM) program is a way for a company to sell new shares directly into the open market over time at current market prices rather than all at once. Think of it like a business slowly topping up its cash register by selling small amounts of stock as needed; it gives the company flexible access to capital but can reduce each existing shareholder’s ownership percentage and put downward pressure on the share price if used heavily.
IDE pivotal study regulatory
"U.S. IDE pivotal study for treatment of AF"
An IDE pivotal study is a large, final clinical trial conducted under an Investigational Device Exemption (IDE) that tests whether a medical device is safe and effective enough for regulatory approval and widespread use. For investors, it matters because the study’s results often determine whether a device can reach the market; think of it as the device’s “road test” or final exam where passing opens commercial revenue and failing can halt or delay value creation.
Non-GAAP financial measures financial
"Reconciliation of GAAP to Non-GAAP Financial Measures"
Non-GAAP financial measures are numbers companies use to show their financial performance that exclude certain expenses or income. They help investors see how the company might perform without one-time costs or other unusual items, giving a different perspective from official reports. However, since they can be adjusted, they don’t always tell the full story and should be looked at alongside standard financial figures.
Pulsed Field Ablation (PFA) medical
"Pulsed Field Ablation (PFA): Non-thermal ablation"
Pulsed field ablation (PFA) is a medical procedure that uses short, high-voltage electric pulses to selectively disable small areas of heart tissue that cause abnormal rhythms, effectively creating tiny barriers that stop errant electrical signals. For investors, PFA matters because it represents a new approach to treating heart rhythm disorders with potential advantages in speed, precision and safety over older methods, which can affect device sales, regulatory approvals and adoption by hospitals and clinicians.

Pulse Biosciences Reports Business Updates and Third Quarter 2026 Financial Results

Completed enrollment of NANOPULSE-AF US IDE pivotal study for treatment of AF with nPulse Cardiac Catheter System

Ended the quarter with $189 million of cash, cash equivalents, and marketable securities

HAYWARD, California [Business Wire] — November 5, 2026. Pulse Biosciences, Inc. (Nasdaq: PLSE), the company leveraging its ever evolving novel and proprietary Nanosecond Pulsed Field Ablation™ (nano-PFA or nsPFA™) technology, today announced business updates and financial results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2026.

“Pulse Biosciences delivered several major milestones since the second quarter, led by completing enrollment in our U.S. pivotal IDE study in just six months, three months ahead of plan,” said Paul LaViolette, CEO and Co Chairman of Pulse Biosciences. “That speed reflects the growing enthusiasm physicians have shown for the nPulse catheter since their very first cases. We also meaningfully strengthened our balance sheet, represented by institutional investor conviction in the opportunities ahead enabled by our technology and our team. With NANOPULSE-AF fully enrolled, and the capital to execute, we are now focused on preparations for launch readiness, additional data readouts, and regulatory submissions. We are also advancing new clinical study initiatives and exciting product development innovations, reflecting the deep application pipeline for our platform technology that gives us the opportunity to bring nsPFA to very large, underserved patient populations.”

Non-GAAP Financial Measures

In this press release, in order to supplement the Company’s condensed consolidated financial statements presented in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, or GAAP, management has disclosed certain non-GAAP financial measures for the statement of operations. The Company believes that an evaluation of its ongoing operations (and comparisons of its current operations with historical and future operations) would be difficult if the disclosure of its financial results were limited to financial measures prepared in accordance with GAAP. As a result, the Company is disclosing certain non-GAAP results in order to supplement investors’ and other readers’ understanding and assessment of the Company’s financial performance. Company management uses these measurements as aids in monitoring the Company’s ongoing financial performance from quarter to quarter, and year to year, on a regular basis and for financial and operational decision-making. Non-GAAP adjustments include stock-based compensation, depreciation and amortization, and a legal settlement. From time to time in the future, there may be other items that the Company may exclude if the Company believes that doing so is consistent with the goal of providing useful information to management and investors. The Company has provided a reconciliation of each non-GAAP financial measure used in this earnings release to the most directly comparable GAAP financial measure. Investors are cautioned that there are a number of limitations associated with the use of non-GAAP financial measures as analytical tools. Investors are encouraged to review these reconciliations, and not to rely on any single financial measure to evaluate the Company’s business.

Non-GAAP financial measures used by the Company may be calculated differently from, and therefore may not be comparable to, similarly titled measures used by other companies, which could reduce the usefulness of the Company’s non-GAAP financial measures as tools for comparison. Investors and other readers are encouraged to review the related GAAP financial measures and the reconciliation of non-GAAP measures to their most directly comparable GAAP measures set forth below and should consider non-GAAP measures only as a supplement to, not as a substitute for or as a superior measure to, measures of financial performance prepared in accordance with GAAP. Non-GAAP financial measures in this earnings release exclude non-cash expenses for stock-based compensation, depreciation and amortization and legal settlement expenses.
