direct-to-device (D2D) services technical
"Elveo unites the heritage of two pioneers in direct-to-device (D2D) services"
Direct-to-device (d2d) services deliver software, data or content straight to an individual’s electronic device—such as a smartphone, tablet, wearable or implantable—without routing through a clinic, pharmacy or other middleman. For investors, d2d models can cut distribution costs, speed adoption and create recurring revenue or data-licensing opportunities, while also concentrating regulatory, privacy and device-compatibility risks that can affect a company’s growth and margins.
low-Earth orbit (LEO) network technical
"access to the Elveo low-Earth orbit (LEO) network in combination with SES’s own GEO"
multi-orbit integrated technical
"deliver the first truly multi-orbit integrated, cost-effective, D2D satellite solution"
non-terrestrial mobile connectivity technical
"Elveo is the premiere non-terrestrial mobile connectivity company"
forward-looking statements regulatory
"This press release contains certain “forward-looking statements”"
Forward-looking statements are predictions or plans that companies share about what they expect to happen in the future, like estimating sales or profits. They matter because they help investors understand a company's outlook, but since they are based on guesses and assumptions, they can sometimes be wrong.
