Rhea-AI Filing Summary

SS Innovations International, Inc. (SSII) said its SSi Mantra surgical robotic system and SSi MantrAsana tele-surgeon console were showcased in successful telesurgeries in October 2026 at the EACTS Annual Meeting in Barcelona and the Society of Robotic Surgery India Conference in New Delhi. At EACTS, Chairman and CEO Dr. Sudhir Srivastava performed a robotic atrial septal defect procedure from Barcelona, approximately 7,500 miles (12,000 kilometers) from the patient in Bengaluru; Dr. Lalit Malik, Chief Cardiac Surgeon of Manipal Hospital Jaipur, provided patient-side support.

At SRS India, four surgeons completed four separate telesurgeries: a right partial nephrectomy, right hemicolectomy, left-sided pyeloplasty on a pediatric patient, and modified radical hysterectomy with sentinel lymph node biopsy. SS Innovations said 205 telesurgeries, including intricate cardiac procedures, had been performed with the SSi Mantra as of October 23, 2026.

Robotic endo-surgical instruments Over 40 types SSi Mantra system supports different specialties
Surgical procedure types clinically validated in India More than 190 types SSi Mantra system
atrial septal defect (ASD) medical
"robotic atrial septal defect (ASD) procedure"
partial nephrectomy medical
"a right partial nephrectomy"
Surgical removal of only the diseased portion of a kidney while leaving the rest of the organ intact, usually to excise a tumor and preserve kidney function. Think of it as cutting out a rotten spot in an apple while saving the healthy fruit. It matters to investors because procedure rates, outcomes, device use, hospital stays and reimbursement influence revenue and market demand for surgical tools, imaging, and related therapies.
pyeloplasty medical
"a left-sided pyeloplasty on a pediatric patient"
Surgical repair of a blockage where the kidney's drainage area meets the tube that carries urine to the bladder (the ureteropelvic junction); surgeons remove the narrowed segment and reconnect healthy tissue so urine can flow normally. Like fixing a clogged section of plumbing between a sink and its drain, the procedure restores function and can be done through open, laparoscopic, or robotic approaches. It matters to investors because procedure volume, device use, reimbursement and clinical outcomes affect hospitals, medical-device makers and healthcare revenues.
sentinel lymph node biopsy medical
"a sentinel lymph node biopsy"
A sentinel lymph node biopsy is a surgical procedure that removes and tests the first lymph node(s) that drain fluid from a tumor to see if cancer has spread. Think of it as checking the first security checkpoint after a breach; a negative result often means less extensive surgery and lower treatment costs, while a positive result can change therapy, prognosis, regulatory decisions and market demand for related diagnostics and treatments, making it important to investors.
ultra-low latency connectivity technical
"through ultra-low latency connectivity"
