Rhea-AI Sentiment reads the wording of the document, how positive or negative its language is on a 1 to 5 scale. The balance of points shown with the takes weighs what the document actually discloses, so the two can disagree, for example when a trial that missed its main goal is described in upbeat language.

Rhea-AI Filing Summary

Taoping Inc. (TAOP) received a written Nasdaq notification on October 13, 2026, that its ordinary shares no longer met the US$1.00-per-share minimum bid price requirement, based on closing bid prices over the 30 consecutive business days from August 31, 2026 through October 12, 2026.

Taoping has until April 12, 2027, the end of its 180-calendar-day compliance period, to regain compliance. Nasdaq will confirm compliance if the closing bid price is at least US$1.00 for a minimum of ten consecutive business days during that period. If the price is US$0.10 or less for ten consecutive trading days, Nasdaq will issue a delisting determination. The notice has no immediate effect on the listing; the shares continue to trade uninterrupted on Nasdaq. If Taoping chooses a reverse stock split, it must complete it no later than ten business days before April 12, 2027. The company may be eligible for an additional 180-calendar-day period if it meets the stated listing standards and provides written notice of its intention to cure the deficiency.

How this balance works

Rhea-AI gives every point it takes from this document a weight. Minor counts 1, Moderate 3 and Major 9, so one Major point outweighs several Minor ones. The bar adds up the weights on each side, and when neither side holds more than 65% of the total the balance reads Mixed.

It reads the document as published, with the same rules for every company, and it does not look at what the market expected or at how the stock traded, so a point can be objectively good on a day the stock falls.

Rhea-AI Sentiment measures something else, the tone of the wording.

Nasdaq minimum bid price US$1.00 per share Minimum bid price requirement
Deficiency period 30 consecutive business days August 31, 2026 through October 12, 2026
Compliance period 180 calendar days Ends April 12, 2027
Bid price for compliance At least US$1.00 For a minimum of ten consecutive business days during the compliance period
Bid price delisting threshold US$0.10 or less For ten consecutive trading days during the compliance period
Potential additional grace period 180 calendar days May be available if the stated listing standards and notice requirements are met
minimum bid price requirement regulatory
"meet the minimum bid price requirement"
A minimum bid price requirement is a rule that a stock must trade above a set price for a specified period to stay listed on an exchange. It matters to investors because falling below that threshold can trigger warnings or removal from the exchange, which can cut liquidity, reduce visibility, and often lead to sharper declines in share value—think of it like a venue’s minimum dress code that, if not met, can bar a performer from the stage.
compliance period regulatory
"has a compliance period of 180 calendar days"
A compliance period is a defined stretch of time during which a company must meet specific legal, regulatory, or contractual rules and reporting requirements. Think of it like a scheduled inspection window or a homework deadline: failing to satisfy the rules within that window can trigger fines, restrictions, or extra oversight, so investors watch compliance periods as signals of near-term legal risk, potential costs, and impacts on a company’s operations or cash flow.
delisting determination regulatory
"Nasdaq will issue a delisting determination"
A delisting determination is a formal decision by a stock exchange or regulator to remove a company’s shares from the official trading list, usually after the company fails to meet rules such as filing reports, maintaining a minimum share price, or staying solvent. It matters to investors because removal reduces or eliminates easy ways to buy or sell the shares, can sharply lower their value, and forces holders to trade in smaller, riskier markets — like having to sell a car at a neighborhood garage sale instead of a busy dealership.
market value of publicly held shares regulatory
"requirement for market value of publicly held shares"
The market value of publicly held shares is the total dollar worth of a company’s shares that are available to outside investors, calculated by multiplying the current market price by the number of shares held by the public (the “float”). It matters because it tells investors how much of the company is actually tradable and how the market is pricing that tradable portion—like a price tag on the items on a store shelf, it affects liquidity, volatility and how easy it is to buy or sell a meaningful stake.

Taoping Receives Nasdaq Notification Regarding Minimum Bid Price Deficiency

TIANJIN, China, October 14, 2026 – Taoping Inc. (Nasdaq: TAOP, the “Company”), a provider of cloud-based smart city, Internet of Things and intelligent infrastructure solutions, today announced that on October 13, 2026, it received a written notification letter (the “Notification Letter”) from The Nasdaq Stock Market LLC (“Nasdaq”), notifying the Company that it is currently not in compliance with the minimum bid price requirement set forth under Nasdaq Listing Rule 5550(a)(2), which requires listed securities to maintain a minimum bid price of US$1.00 per share.

Nasdaq Listing Rule 5810(c)(3)(A) provides that a failure to meet the minimum bid price requirement exists if the deficiency continues for a period of 30 consecutive business days. Based on the closing bid price of the Company’s ordinary shares for the 30 consecutive business days from August 31, 2026 through October 12, 2026, the Company no longer meets the minimum bid price requirement. This press release is issued pursuant to Nasdaq Listing Rule 5810(b), which requires prompt disclosure of receipt of the Notification Letter.

Pursuant to Nasdaq Listing Rule 5810(c)(3)(A), the Company has a compliance period of 180 calendar days, or until April 12, 2027 (the “Compliance Period”), to regain compliance with Nasdaq’s minimum bid price requirement. If at any time during the Compliance Period the closing bid price of the Company’s ordinary shares is at least US$1.00 for a minimum of ten consecutive business days, Nasdaq will provide the Company with written confirmation of compliance and the matter will be closed. However, if at any time during the Compliance Period the closing bid price of the Company’s ordinary shares is US$0.10 or less for ten consecutive trading days, Nasdaq will issue a delisting determination with respect to the Company’s ordinary shares pursuant to Nasdaq Listing Rule 5810(c)(3)(A)(iii). If the Company chooses to implement a reverse stock split, it must complete the split no later than ten business days prior to April 12, 2027 in order to regain compliance.

In the event the Company does not regain compliance with the minimum bid price requirement by April 12, 2027, the Company may be eligible for an additional 180 calendar day grace period. To qualify, the Company will be required to meet the continued listing requirement for market value of publicly held shares and all other initial listing standards for The Nasdaq Capital Market, with the exception of the bid price requirement, and will need to provide written notice of its intention to cure the deficiency during the second compliance period, by effecting a reverse stock split, if necessary, to Nasdaq. If the Company does not qualify for the second compliance period or fails to regain compliance during the second 180-day period, then Nasdaq will notify the Company of its determination to delist the Company’s ordinary shares, at which point the Company will have an opportunity to appeal the delisting determination to a Hearings Panel.

The Notification Letter has no immediate effect on the listing of the Company’s ordinary shares, which will continue to trade uninterrupted on Nasdaq under the ticker “TAOP”.

The Company intends to monitor the closing bid price of the ordinary shares and may, if appropriate, consider implementing available options to regain compliance with the minimum bid price requirement under Nasdaq Listing Rule 5550(a)(2).
