How this balance works

Rhea-AI gives every point it takes from this document a weight. Minor counts 1, Moderate 3 and Major 9, so one Major point outweighs several Minor ones. The bar adds up the weights on each side, and when neither side holds more than 65% of the total the balance reads Mixed.

It reads the document as published, with the same rules for every company, and it does not look at what the market expected or at how the stock traded, so a point can be objectively good on a day the stock falls.

Rhea-AI Sentiment measures something else, the tone of the wording.

Net investment income financial
"Third quarter GAAP net investment income (NII) per share"
Net investment income is the money an investor or fund actually keeps from its investments after subtracting the costs of running those investments (like management fees, interest, and losses). Think of it as your paycheck from owning assets: gross returns minus the bills needed to earn them. Investors watch it because it shows how profitable the investment activities are, influences dividend payouts and cash available for growth, and helps compare true performance across funds or companies.
Non-accrual financial
"Investments on non-accrual represented 1.8% and 1.1%"
A non-accrual loan or asset is one for which a lender has stopped counting expected interest as income because the borrower is very late on payments or in serious financial trouble. For investors, non-accruals signal that future cash from interest is uncertain and that the lender may need to write down the loan’s value or set aside extra reserves, similar to a landlord who stops recording rent when a tenant stops paying.
Unfunded commitments financial
"Total Liquidity (Burdened for Unfunded Commitments)"
Unfunded commitments are promises by investors to provide capital to an investment vehicle or fund that have been agreed upon but not yet called or paid. They matter because they represent future cash obligations and potential buying power—like agreeing to pay for future work on a house—which affects an investor’s liquidity, risk exposure and a fund’s ability to make new investments or meet obligations.
Weighted average total yield financial
"weighted average total yield of debt and income-producing securities"
Weighted average total yield is the portfolio-level payout rate that combines each holding’s income and return contributions, averaged according to the size of each position. Think of it as a class grade where larger investments count more than smaller ones: it tells investors the overall percentage return from dividends, interest and distributions they’re effectively getting from a group of assets, making it easier to compare portfolios or funds on cash-generating performance.

NEW YORK — November 3, 2026 — Sixth Street Specialty Lending, Inc. (NYSE: TSLX, or the “Company”) today announced financial results for its third quarter ended September 30, 2026.

Third Quarter Highlights

•
Third quarter GAAP net investment income (“NII”) per share of $0.44 and GAAP net income (“NI”) per share of $0.36
•
Third quarter adjusted NII and NI per share1 of $0.44 and $0.36, respectively, as compared with the prior quarter of $0.43 and $0.43, respectively

•
Net asset value per share of $16.19, as compared with $16.24 as of June 30, 2026. The movement was driven by the combination of (i) the impact of tightening credit spreads, (ii) a continued recovery in equity market multiples, (iii) the reversal of unrealized gains related to paydowns, most of which was recognized through net investment income, and (iv) credit-related declines in a small number of investments.
•
New investment fundings for the third quarter were $247 million and paydowns and sales were $160 million, as compared with $137 million of new investment fundings and $192 million of paydowns and sales for the three months ended June 30, 2026
•
Investments on non-accrual represented 1.8% and 1.1% of the portfolio at cost and fair value, respectively, as compared with 1.9% and 1.3% as of June 30, 2026

“Our objective is not to compete for the same investments on the same terms, but to bring a differentiated perspective to where and how we invest capital. We believe these capabilities position us well to navigate an increasingly bifurcated market and compound long-term value for our shareholders.”

- Bo Stanley, Chief Executive Officer

Investment Income

For the three months ended September 30, 2026 and 2025, investment income was $99.0 million and $109.4 million, respectively. Net Expenses

Net expenses totaled $56.2 million and $57.4 million for the three months ended September 30, 2026 and 2025, respectively.
