4 terms
trading haltregulatory
"announced today that trading of its ordinary shares on the regulated market of Euronext Paris (“Euronext Paris”) will be temporarily halted"
A trading halt is a temporary pause on buying and selling a particular stock imposed by an exchange or regulator, like pressing the pause button on a game so everyone can catch up. It is used to give the market time to absorb important new information or to prevent chaotic price swings, and matters to investors because it freezes the ability to trade, delays price discovery, and can change risk and strategy until normal trading resumes.
"trading of its ordinary shares on the regulated market of Euronext Paris (“Euronext Paris”)"
A regulated market is an organized trading venue overseen by government or independent authorities that enforces rules on who can list, what information must be published, and how trades are executed. Think of it like a store that must pass safety inspections and display clear labels: the oversight promotes honesty, regular reporting, and fair access, which helps investors compare options, find buyers and sellers, and reduces the risk of fraud or hidden problems.
american depositary sharesfinancial
"previously announced public offering by the Company of its American Depositary Shares, each representing one ordinary share"
American depositary shares (ADSs) are a way for investors in the United States to buy shares of foreign companies without dealing with international markets directly. They represent ownership in a foreign company's stock and are traded on U.S. stock exchanges, making it easier for American investors to buy, sell, and own parts of companies from around the world.
pricing of the offeringfinancial
"allow for the confirmation of allocations to investors and the announcement of the pricing of the Offering"
The pricing of the offering is the decision that sets the price at which new shares or securities will be sold to investors in a public or private sale. It determines how much money the company raises, how many existing owners are diluted, and what valuation the market assigns—similar to choosing the ticket price for a concert, which affects both attendance and total revenue. Investors care because the price influences potential returns, risk, and short-term trading behavior.
